It's a very pretty dress. If you want complete honesty though, I would like it better with some changes.

IMO, this fabric can be either casual or dressy depending upon the trim used. The shimmery blue bow you're using is dressier, while the white cotton lace is more casual. I would use a simpler cotton bow if you want a more casual dress (adding a white eyelet petticoat would be adorable). If you prefer a different affect, you could use a tulle underskirt, or fancier trim along the bottom, in either the violet or blue color.

If I lived in Texas I would buy one with the state map. Besides yorkies, I could see Maltese owners loving this dress, as blue/violet are such pretty colors for them.

Any dress in this fabric should be a good seller in Texas....good luck!

how cute.. I live in NY and I would so buy one for pictures and to through people off where I'm from becasue it is to darn cute... Plus I have family living their..love it so beautiful...

I agree with Nancy. I too lived in Texas for a while and Texas pride ain't no joke! We cheered for the Houston Oilers even if they were the worst team in football EVER! It's all about the pride and I think they will sell.

or you could do a reversable dress or harness out of it to.. poeple love things you could use over and over and don't have to think much about it.. or make it poffy.. like a pagent dress.. TX loves pagents.. I know I went to a few when I went.. loved it..

I agree with Jen~it was the bow/eyelet combo that threw me off. Really like the cotton bow idea with the eyelet. Love the petticoat idea. Ya'll like it BIG in TX.

What an adorable dress! I think it is very cute! I would buy it if I were a Texan.

Another way I would like to see it is with a bigger bow too. I am always reminded of that 'everything is bigger in Texas' saying and I think a big bow would be cute on this as well.

I think it is very pretty and I love the fabric with TX on it and I'm sure Texans will love it..I love the fullness of the gather on the skirt....Here is my 2 cents: I would change the bow to white and make it much bigger, and then I would change the style of the border....white color is great,(must match the bow with me) but that style always reminds me of Grandma's PJ's or duster??? I don't know why, it just does..BTW I have a huge spool of that white border I bought on Ebay, and it just looked better on Ebay, LOL.

Yes and so is the trim.

I like it, but my girls won't wear clothes. It reminds me of dresses they wore back in some of the old cowboy movies. Also I like your avatar picture, one of my husbands favorite candy, we have a drawer full right now.
