It's a very pretty dress. If you want complete honesty though, I would like it better with some changes.

IMO, this fabric can be either casual or dressy depending upon the trim used. The shimmery blue bow you're using is dressier, while the white cotton lace is more casual. I would use a simpler cotton bow if you want a more casual dress (adding a white eyelet petticoat would be adorable). If you prefer a different affect, you could use a tulle underskirt, or fancier trim along the bottom, in either the violet or blue color.

If I lived in Texas I would buy one with the state map. Besides yorkies, I could see Maltese owners loving this dress, as blue/violet are such pretty colors for them.

Any dress in this fabric should be a good seller in Texas....good luck!
