| Trying my hand at making jammies! I read all these posts on making jammies out of onesies. So im gonna try it! I went to a consignment store and got some really cute onesies for $.75!!! I cant wait to make some clothes for Bella! Any tips would be appreciated. I don't own a sewing machine yet, so im doing it all by hand. Any tips on doing a hem by hand would be wonderful. Otherwise Im just gonna wing it! lol. Ill post pics when im done!

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | An iron would help. Start by making a fold along the edge of your hem; iron it, then go back & fold the edge into the fold; iron it again where you've made your new fold. Sew

| Great advice!! I have found that on the knit, sometimes it is easier to do it by hand. You have more control over the tiny seams

| I guess it all depends on the brand. For my boy chi I got a 3-6mon Faded Glory at Walmart ($2.00) and the length is perfect. Its a little too wide. For bella I bought some at a consignment shop. One of the newborn sizes was a perfect fit for my chi (but it was pink....and I wont let my boy wear pink. lol) So Id say go to a consignment shop, or walmart (the day after I bought mine they went on clearance for $1.00) and try a few sizes. Or just measure. hope that helps!
