| The girls are doing great. Mystery is the biggest and she sure throws her weight around if you know what I mean. She looks just like her mama Sassy. She seems like a moose next to Blu but actually she's just normal size. I'm guessing she is going to be around 5-6.5 pounds. Chyna is a doll, like a little teddy bear. I'm guessing she is going to be around 3.5-4.5 pounds. And Blu has wormed her way into our hearts after loosing her little sister Tinkerbell. It's one of those decisions I've agonized over for the last week as I do have a buyer for Blu and need the money but we have decided to keep Blu. She looks just like Star did at that age. Only one person knows this story but have decided to share it anyway. The first part of this year, Sassy was being very nasty to Sissy and Feebie. So nasty that I feared that one of them was going to get seriously hurt. I felt I had to get rid of her but just couldn't bring myself to do so as she was Reggie's first born, she was born on my foot, and she is a really great, loving dog otherwise. While I pondered on what to do, Sassy was banned to the kitchen and she would not be allowed outside with Sissy and Feebie. I might add that everyone is getting along just fine now. We had a vacation planned for FL in June and of course, Sassy had been in heat before we left but I thought she was on the downside. Our granddaughter stayed at our home and took care of the dogs and she told us she saw Tucker crawl over the gate the day before we got home but didn't actually see him get Sassy. Sassy was caged at night and only left alone in the kitchen while someone was there. All summer Sassy stayed in the kitchen. I thought she was getting fat because of the decreased inactivity and her age. I even went so far as to get special food for her weight. It wasn't until two weeks before the pups were born that I realized she wasn't just getting fat, she was pregnant. Then I faced a real dilemma, who was the father. The first one born got the name Mystery because of that. I knew I would have to wait until they got a little older to be able to tell who the father was. As they grew and started developing their colors, I was pretty sure they were Tuckers because of the white tipped toes and gold on their head. However, as I kept looking at them I wasn't sure they were Tucker's because of when they were born and other than the white tipped toes, they looked too much like Gizmo's pups and weren't as big as Tucker's kids were. Then it hit me, I remembered that Gizmo had got Sassy the day before we left but didn't think much about it because I thought she was at the end of her heat and my mind was preoccupied working and getting ready for our vacation. I had totally forgot about it. The gold on their heads and the white tipped toes is what threw me off because of the majority of Tucker's offspring had white tipped toes, including his first born, Sassy! I started looking more at Gizmo's pups, which have a different look than Tucker's. Sure enough, from Sassy's last two litters with Gizmo, Venus had that same gold on the back of her head and dark face, Dinky with the dark head and face, Peanut and her little brother Dusty both had that tiny button nose and wider set ears. The face shape, body size and ear set also confirms in my mind that they are Gizmo's and will be registered as his. Chyna looks just like Gizmo as a pup. And add Star from Gizmo and Reggie, who was also Sassy's mother, Blu is the spitting image of Star. So anyway, that's my story and I now have absolutely no doubt as to who the father is.

| You really should have the pups DNA'd as the litter can be sired by both males. If there is ever a problem you would know who each pup's sire is and you keep it on the up and up so that you can't be sued or get in trouble with AKC.

| Tucker didn't get her, he only got over the gate the day before we got home from vacation but that was the only time. I didn't think much about it because I didn't even think Sassy was pregnant until two weeks before whelping, only that she was getting overweight from lack of activity being stuck in the kitchen. When I realized Sassy was pregnant, I only assumed that Tucker was the father because Emilee said he got over the gate the day before we got home. I had totally forgot about Gizmo getting her because Murphy's Law was working overtime from the week before at work and the vacation from hell which included my husband picking up the wrong suitcase at the airport before checking in, him leaving my new camera at the airport, almost missing the plane, having my suitcase arive in Key West instead of Ft. Lauderdale and not getting my cloths until the following day with the temperature in the upper ninety's, having someone back into the rental car in a parking lot, just to give you a few of our vacation highlights! And even much more stressful stuff when we got home. When our pups are younger, they all tend to look very similar but as they grow, there are distinct differences between Tucker and Gizmo's offspring, size being the most obvious. I've been keeping records of our litters weights from birth since we started breeding. When I finally thought about checking the whelping chart, the date they were born also confirms that they couldn't be Tucker's or Sassy would have whelped 8-9 days early and she's always whelped on time. Their development at birth and weight did not in any way suggest that they were 8 days early. I know that it is possible for more than one father but not is this case. There is absolutely no doubt that these girls are Gizmo's, not only by their coloring but also by their weight and birth date.

| The girls are doing great. Mystery is like a monkey and has figured out how to get up on the couch. She's really a spirited one. Chyna is more quiet but loves to play. And little Blu holds her own with her bigger sisters. She looks like a kitty when she sits up on her hind legs, bats her paws and growls at the other ones. It is so funny. Of course, Chyna still likes to find just the right bite of food in the dish. Got some good pictures of her cleaning out the food dish. What is really funny is that she only does this when I fill the bowl up to the top.
