| Has anyone tried the Puppy Apartment? Hi everyone, I am getting a female yorkie at the beginning of July (a companion for 6 year old Teddy). I was considering using a puppy apartment. Has anyone seen, or used this? I would love to know your thoughts. It looks like it could be very helpful with house training. |

| That looks odd.... For our new pup we use a play pen by pet gear. It fits a bed, food/water and I cut a pee pad in quarters and put it to the opposite side. Works awesome when were not around. For my older pup before I had a hallway where I put up a baby gate and shut the doors to the rooms, in the area I put bed, toys, food, water and pee pads. Worked perfect til she climbed over the gate, then bought the gate with vertical bars so she couldn't climb out. People wonder why i call her monkey girl! Lol :P |

| Puppy Apartment Katie Scarlett uses a Puppy Apartment - her mom is Aimee (may be spelled wrong) that does the beautiful clothes. She has posted several positive comments about it. |

| Curious about these... We have had our yorkie for about 3 weeks and wonder if the puppy apartment would work now or is it best to start them out in it. We are having a hard time with the potty training. |

| It looks like a great idea, a helpful way to house train! I'm definitely going to try it, I think it will make my life easier. I like the covers they sell too! |

| I tried the big one for two of my adults that were a bit stubborn. The others go on the pee pads with no problem, but these two not so much Stepping out of bed into a pile of pee is just no fun. I think it works great. If you have more than one to train, two of them will do well in the large one. Pretty expensive but effective.

| Is this something that the dogs use their entire life? Or just during potty training? I have mine going on pee pee pads when I'm not home but when I am home I try to get them to go outside but they insist on the pee pads! |

| I used something similar for my pups and they had no problems. I had spot for food and water, pee pad,and then crate for bed. |

| I have one for foster Toto. Essentially it's just a larger crate that you can fit in a bed and a pee pad. We have it set up where he has a small plastic Pet Mate carrier in there with a bed in that, another cushion bed next to that, and then a pee pad. So when I am gone during the day he stays in there and out of trouble!

| I have one. I love it. Bentley is to the point where I do not crate him in it. The large door in the front is now removed. There are many times I realize he's quite and go looking for him and find him sleeping the the bed part. I think he tends to go there when he's overtired or overwhelmed by the activities of the household. When he was younger I had a portable fence attached to it so he was not locked in the PTPA. (I got it at Petsmart and it was cheaper than what the PTPA company wanted for theirs.) He had a nice play yard with some toys and his food and water. I have a post on here somewhere with the setup I had when Bentley was younger. I'll hunt it down and post it. I admit is's costly(I did the monthly payments) but given the fact I live on a second story apartment, it was February when I got him, and I work all day, it was well worth the investment. Right now I'm at work and he is home with access to the kitchen, living room and hall and I feel confident about coming home to no mess. Other than toys scattered everywhere. lol Don't get me wrong he has his accidents from time to time, related mostly to he thinks after 2 pees his pad should be replaced. When I'm gone all day, I have a portable nylon crate I put a couple of pads in so he has extra potty real estate, that I leave out as well. He'll be 7 months on the 27th and this has been a great investment. When he was little I was able to kennel him in it at special times when I could not watch him and not worry about what if he needs to potty. Like taking a shower, when we sat down for dinner, mopping/vacuuming and the like.
