| Crate? I'm bringing home a 2 lb Yorkie puppy in a couple weeks and need a crate. I'm afraid that she will get her head or paws stuck in between the wires. I'm also afraid that if I get a canvas/mesh crate that she will chew it. What did everyone do with their tiny Yorkie puppies? |

| Congratulations on getting a yorkie pup Do you have a name picked out yet? I prefer the metal wire crates. They have great ventilation (although many pups seem to like a cover over the top & three sides so it's like a cave), and are easy to clean/sanitize. I don't like the plastic, cos it holds smells...and well...it's plastic. And you're right about the mesh/fabric crates being a chewing hazard, so while I have a portable one of those, it is only every used under supervision.

| I bought this Suite Retreat in the Medium/Large size.... I put his bedding and toy area on one side and a peepee pad with a peepee pad holder on the other side. He trained to the pad very very quickly. I put it next to my bed in the bedroom.... Never had any problems. ProSelect Suite Retreat Pet Pens | PetEdge.com Hope this helps!! |
