|  New to YT but I wanted to introduce the newborn puppies Through the last couple of weeks YT has been my best friend..... My female has just had her first litter and all I have been doing is researching on YT.... So I wanted to thank everyone for all the helpful advice on all the diffrent threads.... | Thanks so much, I have a question that maybe one of you can help me with the mother of the puppies cant seem to keep cool if I dont have a fan running she is burning up and panting any helpful info is welcomed.... If by "burning up" you mean panting a lot, that is perfectly normal for a new mom to do (hormones I believe) and you will see her do off and on for a couple of days or so. Do not have a fan running or the pups may get chilled and a chilled puppy can go downhill fast! They need to be kept out of drafts and stay warm as they can not regulate their body temp for a couple of weeks. Have a heating pad on one side of their box and the other side without, so that mom has a place to go to get away from it when she wants to. Also make sure she has access to plenty of fresh water to drink at all times. If you have any other questions or concerns, just ask. You've come to the right place.

| Thanks for all the info tomorrow we go to have the tails docked and the dew claws removed...... I got the fan off and put away I just thought she was really hot.... |
