Yes they can, and so can the goldens. This particular litter is not registered because I do not have the papers for the mother yet, and I don't want to tell people that I will get them when I do not know that for sure.

Still working on it, Still hoping that by her next heat I will have them.

Going back to why this was mentioned at all.

The AKC website keeps in standards up to date so this is what I go by....

5 paragraphs on color
Be sure to go down to disqualifications after that.

im not sure what you are trying to prove?? Most of us on YT that like the parti's or follow parti threads, already know that they are consider a "color fault" through the akc, BUT THEY ARE STILL CONSIDERED YORKIES AND ARE REGISTERABLE!! They just cant be shown.

OH FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE...IS THIS NOT A FOR SALE THREAD!?!? Why oh why is it of late that when a person posts their puppies here for sale (especially off colored Yorkies) that the thread becomes and all out debate or argument. Can we all just stick to the fact the thread is for puppies that are looking for their forever homes!!! Nothing more... And, if you happen to be one of those persons that does not agree with off colored yorkies, then by all means post your opinion in the appropriate place!!!

Jeanie I wish you the best of luck on finding homes for your furbabies!!! And, don't let a few people here get to you.

Joan, I do not bleong to they YTCA, I do not show my dogs nor do I claim to be breeding dogs for show.

If one belongs to a club then they should adhere to the rules of that club.

The YTCA is a club, they did not create the yorkie. They merely set the standards for showing so that the judges have something to judge them by.

It's as simple as that. Just as different religions have their own guidebook and you go by what ever religion you choose to belong to, or no religion at all if that is what you choose. There is no wrong or right, just a matter of preference.

No particular religion created GOD, just as the YTCA did not create the yorkie, they just set the standards for showing.

Common sense and ethics dictate that reputable breeders, breed healthy dogs with a good temperament. But breeding outside of the YTCA color standard, or even the size standard does not make one an unethical breeder.

The AKC does register the different colored yorkies. They have determined that the parti color is part of the original color makeup of the yorkie, and it occurs naturally.

I just wanted to clear that up so all of the new members that have not read the 50 zillion posts, on the YTCA color faults, realize that it is not a sin to breed for the different colors.
