| ![]() I am confused as to why you are breeding these two "so-called-goldens" and this time to a female you do not have papers on. Both of the adult dogs you have on your site and are calling "goldens" seem to have plenty of black hair. Their gold/tan hair just intermingles as described in the Yorkie standard as a fault in the color. They just seem to be an extreme example of the wrongly intermingled blue and tan/fawn hairs. There are plenty of dogs that do not meet yorkie standard one way or another in regard to colors. AKC standard: "Blue: Is a dark steel-blue, not a silver-blue and not mingled with fawn, bronzy or black hairs. Tan: All tan hair is darker at the roots than in the middle, shading to still lighter tan at the tips. There should be no sooty or black hair intermingled with any of the tan. Color on Body The blue extends over the body from back of neck to root of tail. Hair on tail is a darker blue, especially at end of tail. Headfall A rich golden tan, deeper in color at sides of head, at ear roots and on the muzzle, with ears a deep rich tan. Tan color should not extend down on back of neck. Chest and Legs A bright, rich tan, not extending above the elbow on the forelegs nor above the stifle on the hind legs." I think they are adorable, as I do all puppies. But I do not understand why this breeding would be any different from another unregistered mating, or any other faults that are continued by breeding. It definately is not breeding to standard and I can't see why you would do it. I am open to hearing the reasoning, I just sincerely do not understand. To me, these would be cute little puppies to spay and neuter and love the rest of their lives not to breed and wind up with a litter of 2 more "golden" (which will probably also wind up with the intermingling of blue and tan, and not turn all gold), and one pup with white feet. Isn't the goal to wind up with pups that DO look like yorkies not see how far they can deviate? I hope I have worded this carefully enough so that you know I am not insulting the pups. They are cute and may wind up being fun pets, but I guess my question is why intentionally breed for faults? How is it different than breeding 12 pounders, extremely long muzzled, all black, smooth-coated, poor toplines, leather eared, wiry-haired, or any other faults?

The mother IS purebred, and IS registered. She is one of mine. I just have not gotten the papers on her from the person that I sold her to. They moved to Germany. Anyway. I breed for the goldens and the partis, because they are part of the original yorkie make ujp. I do not allow some CLUB, to dictate to me how I run my breeding program, or live my life. Every new breed, or new color, or new standard, has come about because a few people were not afraid to look "outside of the box." I'm just not an "in the box" type of person. If you are, that is fine, I will not put you down for that, and I do not take it personally when someone thinks I should live "in the box". I just pity them for having no spirit. Now, please move along, and do not use my puppy thread, to spew your beliefs. Start your own thread. Thank you. | |

The lady lost my lolas papers and I didntthink I would ever get them well one day they showed up and I registered them and my puppies I kept two were almost a year old and I wasable to get them as well. However I had to pay some late fees. I hope you can get them their papers. They will be beautiful either way. Cant wait to see when you post in the for sale ![]()
