| Zoe and inko baby boys! Zoe and Inko became parents yesterday afternoon! They are the proud mommy and daddy to 3 pretty baby boys. I am so glad that yesterday is over and so happy that they are all here safe and sound. Zoe was having some trouble delivering the first baby and my daughter and I had her in the car to go to the vet, when my daughter said that the puppy was mostly out! I pulled the car over in time to help her deliver the rest of the pup. We then sped home and she delivered the next two within an hour. It was a crazy day and I am sure that Zoe is just as relieved that it is over as me and my daughter are. lol I will post pictures tomorrow or the next day. They are handsome little guys!

| Here are the pictures...finally! I finally got my husband to show me how to do this picture thing! lol I am so computer illiterate...I know it is ridiculous. Anyway, here are Zoe's baby boys at 5 days old. The first is boy number one (he is out big boy) it is the only good picture I could get of him. The next two are of boy number two of course and the next two are boy number three. They are growing so quickly and I am already having a hard time thinking of sending them off to their new homes when the time comes. They didn't have the coloring I would have liked but, I still think they are pretty darn cute! They each already have their own personalities. Big boy number 1 is very easy going and cuddely. Number two is just a little more "feisty" and number three is a "cry baby". I am excited to watch these guys grow

| At 5:15 this morning we lost one of Zoe's puppies. I did all I knew how to for him. He was born the second biggest and kept gaining weight but not at the rate the other two were. He then dropped almost an ounce over night. I discovered it when I weighed him, as usually in the morning yesterday. i began tube feeding him. He was too weak to nurse. He was doing better this morning at his 1:30 feeding but it was not meant that he should stay with us. This is right up there on the hardest things I have ever had to deal with list. Zoe is just laying with him and she is so sad. I thought for sure I could save him. I wonder what I did wrong and then I realize that he probably wasn't right from birth. I hope there wasn't something I did wrong. We just buried my nephew who fought a long battle with drugs and finally ended his own life. His funeral was yesterday. If that wasn't enough, now we have lost a little pup and my kids are going to be devestated. I feel so bad for Zoe! How am I going to work today? This is a time when being a sole proprietor is not a good thing! I am just sick....I never want to go through this again. Sorry....I am ranting and it won't do any good. I am going to try and just focus on the other two healthy butter balls and move forward. What else can I do....poor Zoe.

| So sorry for your loss of the little boy! You are doing the right thing by letting the Mama lay with him. She will push him away when she is ready to let him go.

| My pups were born 12 days ago. The second one came out with a slightly funny leg, maybe deformed and he was having trouble breathing. I suctioned him and nothing changed so I took him to the vet. He died there. He was about 5 hrs old. The vet said he had lack of oxygen and could have gotten stuck in the birth canal. I'm sure my pup is in a better place and yours is too. It is hard but you have to look at it like this...whatever was wrong with them isn't wrong anymore.. Take care and I'm sorry for both of your losses... |
