Had a huge scare with Gracie's babies!
 

My hubby called me at work this morning saying that Gracie was going in circles and panting and kept licking her coochy. So I told him to wipe her and see if she's discharging. He said she had brownish green discharge. Now I'm freaking 'cause she's not due until Oct. 14! So I close the office and take off for home praying that she isn't aborting the babies. I get home and check her out and she has a dicharge the color and texture of a placenta, and she was nesting (I've never seen her do that before). I call the vet and take her in for an ultrasound. I told them what was going on and told them I wanted an ultrasound to check and make sure that there were still babies in there, any viable babies or was a false one and she's empty. So we saw a baby perfectly but the little booger would not turn so we could see the heartbeat so we don't know if that on is alive or not but we were able to see the umbilicle cord pulse and jump. We did find a heartbeat all the way up into her ribs but really didn't see a baby to go with that heartbeat. The vet said that it was hidden and we couldn't really see anything. So, since she's not running a fever, not discharging, still eating and drinking and peeing and pooping, we are giving her an antibiotic just in case and if nothing else happens then we will get x-rays and another ultrasound on the 10th.

Thank you. I didn't want to ask for prayers since there are so many others who need them more but I will accept them anytime I can get them!:D

I will be praying for little Gracie and her babies. Please give her hugs from Toto & me. We'll watch for updates.

you say babies but then said only 1 in the ultrasound? Is there more and you could just only see one? or .... I think I missed something sorry.

Well we saw one (but not it's heartbeat) and then way up under her ribs we saw a heartbeat but not the body it goes to. I'm praying it's more than one only because if she has one, she's very long, and that would mean alot of room to grow and the baby (s) would be very large. So until I see the x-ray, ultrasound, my scrambled little brain keeps saying "babies" :D

Bear, Blair, Froto, Gracie and I all are saying prayers for a healthy momma and babies.

I know you will be worried until she births - hang in there and try not to bite your nails too short!

Well, Gracie is in labor:( Let\'s hope and pray I had my dates wrong:rolleyes: three weeks off? I don\'t know. I\'m guessing at everything now trying not to cry.

This whole thing is just weird to me. I can\'t be three weeks off but she has alot of milk, and the baby on the ultrasound you could see it\'s bones perfectly. Her temp at 12pm was 101.2 and now it\'s 99.9. I\'m so confused:(

I will be praying for Gracie also, it does so strange, keep us updated.
