| How much should my puppies eat (weights inside)? Hi, I have a 7 week old litter and I was wondering how much they should eat. They wake me up in the middle of the night crying and I always think they are hungry. I feed them and play with them right before bed so they will sleep most of the night. For the first two weeks, I tracked their weight daily and the average per day gain was anywhere from a quarter of an ounce to a full ounce. From the last time I weighed them (17 days ago), they showed what seems to be minimal gains. For example, the largest one only gained 6 oz and the smallest one gained 3 oz over that span. I am currently feeding each one (Nutro Ultra puppy food) about a quarter of an ounce divided into 3 servings per day. Here are the weights: Males: 2 lbs 6 oz, 2 lbs 4 oz, and 1 lb 11 oz Females: 2 lbs 6 oz, and 1 lb 11 oz Let me know if you need any other information to help answer my question. Thanks in advance. |

| Not sure, but my husband brought me Yoko when she was 6 wks. and I have been feeding her all she can eat 4 times a day. She is now almost 12 wks old and has never seemed to be hungry. I plan on cutting her back to 3 times a day at 12 wks.

| My 11 week old gets 1/4 cup of food per day divided up over 4 feedings. She will sometimes get cheerios for a snack also. |

| Thanks, Miley's Mom - I did wonder if standards differed, but I take your point. Besides, regardless of weight, they're all gorgeous YTs! |
