Can I ask what you used to tag the babies when they were born. It almost looks like a tiny bungee cord. We are expecting 5, and I'd like to keep track of who is who.

Beautiful puppies. Mom looked so proud of her puppies. And rightfully so!

Hi...thanks to all for being so sweet when it came to the puppies....they have all moved to their new homes. I know they all have great families. I sure do miss them.

My yorkie is expecting her first litter and there is supposed to be 7 puppies per the xray. she is 56 days along now. How long did your dog go before she starting whelping the pups?

Hi, welcome to YT! Wow, 7 puppies. My Ruby just had 7 puppies 3 weeks ago. That's a pretty big litter. Yorkies deliver 63 days from the date of conception, which may not be the day they tied. So there is always a little variation because we don't know exactly when the eggs were fertilized.

Can I suggest that you move over to the May Puppies thread, as all the discussions there are about whelping puppies in the next few days. If I was more clever I would be able to give you the link, but just go to New Posts and look for it in the list. Introduce yourself, and jump into the discussions with your questions. There are lots of experienced breeders who will be able to help you. I'll see you there too. Good luck

Hi...I am so sorry that I didn't answer your post sooner...I have been so busy remodeling my home that I don't get to come play on here too much lately.

From the first tie she went 60 days.

We didn't see all 7 in our x-ray or ultra sound. Only 5 showed. I miss them so much!! I do get to see them often though.
