| Hi! Sorry to burst your bubble, but I highly doubt you will find a Yorkie for $300. And if you do, it will either be so far from standard (look wise, weight, etc.) and/or come from a puppymill where it will have lived in God awful conditions.

| Check on petfinder and also look at rescues in the area. There are tons of fur babies that need homes! Plus, you might find a great dog that needs a great human pet!

| However, be very very careful of scams. There are posts on the Internet such as petfinders etc that someone has a pup they can't keep send them the money to ship it to you usually about $200 or $300. They don't have a puppy, the picture is stolen from somewhere and you will lose you money and get no puppy. This is a helpful link about these kind of scams and where to report them. http://www.phonebusters.com:80/engli...eit_puppy.html |

| Definitely try the shelter. Typically their adoption rates are about $300. If you want a puppy you are looking at $800+ and then $200 for shots and a puppy exam. Then it's normal to have to go back to the vet for something like diarrhea. And then spaying or neutering will be $300+. Sometimes they need teeth pulled too... Yorkies are expensive! Good luck!

| Hi welcome to YT! I doubt that you are going to find a great quality HEALTHY yorkie for 300 dollars. I was just like you a year ago..I really wanted a puppy and but didn't have enough money to spend on one. I searched the web looking for yorkies at a lower price. What I found is that if someone is willing to give up a yorkie puppy for under 500 $ then there is some sort of catch. So what I did was slow down and reasearch the breed and breeders! Especially through this website I was given a lot of info about the breed. So here I am a year later and I'm about to get my little girl from a breeder I found on this site (JeanieK) someone I know takes pride in her yorkies. While I was doing my research I was able to save up money, as well as make an informed decision. So my advice is to take it slow research and while you are doing that you'll be able to save more money to get yourself a healthy baby!

lol my name is rebecca, i live in Indiana and i have had my baby for about 4 months. I just wanted to say that it is extremely hard to find a yorkie for under $700 that is AKC registered (if you want it) and in good health and free of any genetic defects. But you may get lucky.... Someone posted above me saying that you couldnt get a yorkie for 300 without there being something wrong or it being from a puppy mill. Well I did. I searched and searched and waited forever but one day i saw an ad for a 10 week old male. So i called to see how much (knowing i wouldnt be able to afford it) and the breeder told me 300. I flipped. She originally wanted to keep him but she couldnt and i was lucky enough to get him. I think i also read someone saying that shots were expensive. Mojo's werent I went in expecting to pay more than 50 for a shot but his distemper shot only cost $19, nails trimmed $5, and bottom shaved $3. They can be expensive but thats mainly cause they become so spoiled.... I just wanted to say from one Rebecca to another Good luck. It will be a tough search but one day you will get your baby.

| 5 minute limit expired my edit limit expired. Mojo (my $300 baby) is AKC registered, has no health problems, and is free from any genetic defects. Finding a healthy baby for under 500 will be extremely hard, but one day you will have you baby.
