Look at bulldog breeders, they know for certain that their dogs are going to have health issues. No Maybe about it. Biewers are purebred yorkshire terriers, the same as the partis and the goldens. I personally don't care what they call them, I wish they would give them a different name. But the name does not change the fact that they are pure bred yorkies. If you gave birth to a child with birth defects, you could give it away, change it's name, throw it in a dumpster, but it would not change the fact that it is your child.

| no, but if you knew you were a carrier of a defect, you would not have a child risking it would get the defect.

| And I am just as sure that they write things like that to discourage people from breed off colored yorkies. |

| And I Highly Don't doubt it. You see both of us here are just dmaking assumptions based on our own beliefs. Research. If you want facts, research. Don't just believe everything you read. You need to know who wrote it and where and how they got their information. Otherwise it is just someone making an ssumption. Before you make statements, do your homework. |

| I always wanted to ask this question...everyone has a reason for doing everything. If you are not breeding to better the breed and show then WHY do you breed? You say you are not making a profit so.....why do it? |

| I'm not sure how I feel about this. I think Goldens, Chocolates and Partis are ADORABLE and I'd love to own one someday (variety, after all, is the spice of life ). Every dog deserves a home, regardless of it's color. But if there are health/genetic risks involved (more than breeding a standard Yorkie), that's where my concern would be. I'd hate for a any dog to suffer just for me to enjoy a Golden or Chocolate Yorkie. Honestly, this isn't a major issue for me because I'm not a breeder and probably never will be. I couldn't stand to let the babies go ... I'd end up being a major dog horder and you'd see me on Animal Plant. LOL They'd send the cops over to remove some of my dogs lol But I am curious about this because in the future (if GOD FORBID I ever lose one of my babies), I'll be in the market for more pupsters. Heck, I may even get a fourth dog one day (after we buy a house). So this is important info to know and thanks to everyone for posting their opinions about it.

I was referring to show breeders who claim not to make a proft. How else do they pay for the cost of showing. I believe you if you say you didn't sell for a profit. But I also believe there is nothing wrong with it.

| Good question, I'm doing it to help with the cost of my husbands medical bills. And I hope to be able to pay off my house so when one of us dies, the other ones does not have to give up our home. |
