| Male or Female Wanted in Ca, AZ, or NV Ok, so I have been looking for a Yorkie or Yorkie mix for some time now. So I am reaching out for some help from all you YT'ers! I know I am probably making it difficult with my price range, but I have seen babies go for smaller prices (Just no where near me of course!). I can only afford around $400. I am a college student- enough said. And yes, I have looked into adoptions, but they are still very expensive and I do not feel I would have enough time for a dog that will need 100% 24/7 attention. And I mean this about a dog with a sickness or what not. Again, I am a college student, so I need a dog that can be left alone for a couple of hours, and the adoptable dogs, in my opinion, can't be left alone really. So, if anyone can help, I am willing to drive to AZ or NV to get my baby, and will give a VERY spoiled home to them! Thanks Guys! |

YT Addict | Hi! I'm a college student myself (one more semester left..thank goodness) and I must admit these dogs are not cheap. I spent a little over a grand for my Theresa.. and Mr. Ted was about 800 or 900 dollars. I then spent close to 300 on all their shots, and since you will need puppy supplies, that was another 300. As long as you know there is cost involved.. then keep looking. If you have family that would help you pay for some of it.. then great. My gran helps me out when she can. But beware these dogs are expensive. You should save up for a little while.. while looking your lil one. But good luck in your search! Ashley

You should really consider saving a little more. You should also have some money saved up for emergencies. I too am a college student and work part-time to help with my furkid's expenses. My boy got sick and had to take him to the vet yesterday. It was $300 for visit, meds and x-rays. Not to mention, the follow-up appointment that is coming up and the fact that it wasn't a major health problem (than God). Also, this little breed does require plenty of your time (not to say you won't provide it). They are attention-seekers and just love to be with their 'parents'. I waited many years until it was the right time in my life to get one. Good luck, Jess
