| Still looking for my little female Yes, I'm still looking for a little female. I've tried to adopt and rescue...been told 'You have the perfect home' but for some reason I'm never chosen to be the home. So, here I am again...we have a fenced yard, we're retired so we're home about 90% of the time, no kids and we don't drink, smoke or gamble...just thought I'd toss that in too . I do have 2 small males but they are both neutered, I can provide vet and personal references, I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance and pay a reasonable price. I would like a little girl that is, above all, healthy...silky coat and between 4 to 6 pounds. I do not want a female to breed, I just want a pretty little girl to spoil, so full registration is not a big deal. I would also consider a young adult female or maybe one that was held back to breed but didn't turn out to be big enough. I'm not in a hurry but I am beginning to wonder if there is even a little girl out there for me. Is finding the perfect Yorkie like finding the perfect man? Once you quit looking you find what you were looking for all along? If that's the case...I give up! |

| I think it might help in your search if you defined what a reasonable price to you is. Everyone is sooo diff on this..such as my parents think $350 is WAY too much to spend and I have paid $3500 for a Biewer...so it really depends on what you think reasonable is. LOL

| I'm sure you will find the perfect little girl. There have been several on here lately that were very reasonable. Paying $3500 for a dog that is not standard isn't reasonable.(jmo) Show quality puppies are not that expensive.

| Ladies...please...let's not turn this into an argument or debate about prices. I'm not looking for a breeding, show quality female here...I'm just looking for a pretty little pet. No, I don't think $3,500.00 is reasonable for what I want. Now, if I were showing or breeding that might be different but I'm not and I have no intentions of doing either. So, what's reasonable for me...I paid $500.00 and $700.00 for my 2 small males and I don't feel a pet quality, limited registration, or even spayed female should cost too much more than that. |

| I have been involved with reputable, show breeder/exhibitor in many different breeds, on and off for more than 30 years. Maybe I just know the right people and maybe some of them price their dogs much higher to breeders, if they sell them at all. Most show breeders only breed for themselves and when, on rare occasions they have puppies, are extremely particular where their puppies go. And. $3500.00 is to still to much for a dog that is not standard. Oh, I forget, "rare".

| Ok....I must have misunderstood... I thought you meant was too much to spend for a show puppy..... Maybe your contacts with show people get you better pricing.... which is wonderful....and probably well deserved....but, I am not there yet.... In about 10 years maybe....but, until then...and until I prove myself, I will be paying for experience.....unless, I can find a good mentor that will help....... .. What are you doing for the next 10 years!!!! LOL...can I move in???? |

| I might end up with a little girl to place. She's 8 monthes old and seems to be stuck at 3.5 lbs. She just had surgery for Legge-Perthes disease so I won't be able to breed her anyway. She's beautiful and has the top studs in her 5 generation pedigree, Rothby's Reneegade, Pastoral's Johnny Handsome, and Caraneal's Charged and Ready. She's a little doll and deserves to be someone's princess so it will be hard for me to place her. She's a major lap baby.

| It all depends on the region. I have years of experience from my breeder and a wonderful line in my dogs and didn't pay $3,500 for my show dogs.

| I am feeling worse and worse... Its kinda like you never ask a lady her age...as my Dad used to say......lol.....I have never asked anyone else that has bought a show dog....prospect, what they paid for their dog/female..... now, I am really getting depressed......or maybe I live in the wrong area.... |
