| ![]() I am selling him because he is considered a redleg yorkie and has the shorter course hair. I had purchased him to be a stud originally and I do not wish to use a yorkie that is not standard as a stud. He is one of the sweetest dogs in the world and would make anyone the worlds best pet. I would have kept him myself except that it costs more to keep a pet that is fixed and I paid so very much in the beginning for a stud. I sadly must sell him in order to buy a stud. I cannot afford to keep him here fixed and also purchase a stud. I had no idea when I got him what a redleg yorkie was and thanks to the help of this site I have learned what standard was. I now want to keep the standard. This is why I want to find him a home with a family from someone on here. :-) I love all of you people for helping me understand what to look for. It is nothing at all against this baby! I have several yorkies and I really would keep him if I could just afford to but I cannot. I could never get another yorkie if I did and I would not be able to do what I wanted to do which is to have a stud. He could never be a stud and I spent so very much money on him. It breaks my heart but I have thought it through and decided after learning that it was a genetic thing (only recently) that this is fair to him. I want to give him a happy home! :-)

| ![]() He's a bit large to stud but FYI breeders use redlegs every 4th or 5th generation to bring color back into the line. They are basically throw backs that bring alot of strengths with them. Coat texture is not the only requirement for evaluating whether you have a redleg on your hands or not. You can read more about it at Angel Yorkies, Julie is great about answering questions too. I have a redleg and she's a blessing.

| ![]() (well his size is part of the reason I do not want to use him as a stud but mainly it is because of him being a redleg...when I got him he weighed under 1lb so I never had a clue he would ever get this big...not that this is actually big...lol) I understand that some people do use redlegs but I prefer not to use anything except standard boys as studs and no one wants to use him as a stud here. Most people do not believe he is a yorkie because of his redleg appearence. This does not mean I don't care about him. If I didn't I would not try to find him a good home. :-) I only want standard yorkies as studs. I tried very hard to make that clear to the woman when I purchased him and I thought that is what I got. This does not mean he is not a wonderful baby in any way! Just that he could not be a stud like I truly need him to be. No one will use him as a stud and so I am having to have him fixed and this leaves me with a dog that I cannot breed. I cannot keep another dog here that is fixed. I have too many yorkies already. I love him so I want to find him a wonderful home! I then hope to get a male I can use as a stud. I am in contact with someone who is working with me on this part. I only want the best for my little Romeo. He is such a sweet angel.

| ![]() Romeo is now neutered and will be ready to go to a new home in about two weeks after he is healed. :-) He is doing very well here and is a very sweet boy. I am getting all of his vet information set up so that when his new owner buys him he can be transfered to his new vet and I just had his rabies shot done too. :-) So he is taken care of for the next year. As I mentioned before he is microchipped too so whoever buys him can feel safe about that too. :-) I tried to do everything for him before he leaves here so there is nothing for his new mommy or daddy to have to worry about except loving him. :-) I am hoping to hear from someone soon. He really is the sweetest baby.
