okay this maybe seem stupid BUT wy do they need to go off post? cant people just stick w/ what the ad was? instead of making a big deal about her selling yorkie puppies BUT also having otherr breeds. she never advertised them. she came on here w/ the intentsion of posting yorkies, and talking about yorkies, why cant we just welcome people be polite and not give people reason to not post and not have a place to meet and speak about yorkies.

i could care less about deleted post but some peolple here on YT are rude regardless of what anyone thinks.I am not agreeing with it but yes this person may have bred yorkies who are not standard they are not the first person to do so and definitely wont be the last. I bet there are people here that have bought a yorkie who's parents were not standard. So just let it be some people like the bigger yorkies I have read people say so myself.

tammy8833, it was brought up because the more breeds of dogs a breeder has means they are trying to make as much profit as they can. They're not the breeder out there who cares about the actual type of dog they are breeding, they're in it for money only.

It doesn't mean they don't take good care of their dogs, it's just that MOST likely their dogs are taking care of them. I'm not saying it's wrong nor right just that it's important to some people. It does matter to certain buyers so it's extremely helpful that it was brought up that she has other breeds for sale(I wouldn't buy from her for that reason). So, it's actually not off topic.

For a lot of people, it really doesn't matter to them. Those are the buyers who will be happy with their puppy from this seller.

EVERY puppy deserves a good home, especially if they're already born. I just am not happy when I see someone selling tons of puppies(doesn't matter if it's one breed or many breeds). These puppies will end up with someone who loves them no matter what.

Exactly and if you are buying a puppy this is important information. You want to know how many breeds, how many dogs are being bred, how many puppies being produced, how are they sold. How much does the breeder know about the breed? Can they tell you everything about the breed, how to care for your puppy, be available 24/ 7 for the new owner to contact them if there is a question or sick puppy.

Although I have only been a member of YT for a few months, I definitely feel that the people on here are polite and do make the people that come here to talk about Yorkies or ask for help feel very welcome. They also try to help people that come here possibly looking for a Yorkie by guiding them in the right direction and letting them know what to look for and what to avoid. No one is going to come on here and advertise they are a puppy mill or broker, (not saying that this is the case here), and I think prospective owners appreciate being advised to any to any information, good or bad of someone who does advertise here. And, as I stated earlier, the sire and dam of these puppies do look much larger than advertised. Maybe the guy in the picture is just smaller.

Photos can be very deceiving as to the size of the puppies and dogs. I agree with the poster who said it is a good idea to place a soda can or a package of cigarettes or something we can all identify with the dog. I've seen some 3# dogs look like they were 10# in a picture; and that they were positively huge in the photo.

With legit breeders this is a good thing, but with unscruplous breeders, brokers and puppy mills, the internet has only aided in their growth and profits.
The internet has opened many widows of opportunity for puppy sales. As a buyer, it is often hard or even impossible to detect a breeder who may be less than ethical. Or someone that is not even a breeder, but a dog broker.
In Pa., the other day there was a fire that destroyed a very large kennel and almost all of their dogs and puppies. This kennel had several hundred dogs, the majority of the dogs/puppies were AKC Yorkies and several held very high AKC competition medals for Best In Show. I was shocked when I heard how many dogs they had, and even more shocked when they showed the kennels on the news. Yes, the kennels were shabbily heated, which is what may have caused the fire. The kennels were either cinder block garages or wooden shacks. The interior of the kennels was not shown on the news, however from the outside they did not look like anything I would want my babies living in! And this is/was a reputable kennel with several AKC champions that were being shown and breed. And their Yorkie puppies being sold for premium prices because of their championship heritage.

Scary isn't it. The ONLY way to know for sure is to make an appt to go visit the breeder and insist on seeing how the dogs are kept. Anyone can appear to be anything but having a pup shipped to the buyer, hides anything that isn't wanted to be known.
I see it from both sides, I want to interview and meet any prospective buyer before I sell a puppy to them AND I want them here once and IF they get through that initial interview. I won't ship.

I was thinking the same thing Maybe this forum can make some kind of way for members to back up the credibility of the people who breed and post here so that they stick out in this section of the forum.

Also I think its horrible for people to just down right attack people that dont know on a forum. especially when they have already posted whats required. I think what should have been done is ask questions in a respectful way and let her give answers. I think the digging up dirt thing was a lil too much. I felt like she was on trial

I know i am new but this is one reason why i came in and read post for a month and didnt say anything. I was scared i would say the wrong thing and get jumped on u know. Noone should feel that way. I run a forum with kids and i expect this from them, not from adults. just give her a chance.

The number you sent me is wrong or disconnected. I changed my mind. I dont feel comfortable dealing with you. I am sorry. I much rather do any transaction through paypal. or some secure network. Also, you have not sent me any documentation verifying the dog is akc or has its shots, you can do that with an email . Its also very easy to take a picture of yourself with the dog and a sign that says the time and date for verification the the puppy is ok. Everytime i ask you for information you seem more like ur trying to say big words and scam me and not give me the information i need to make a decision. This morning you sent me an email as if i said yes to the deal already, i never said yes becausei was only inquiring about information. Do you have a real phone number so we can discuss this before i make a decision. If i can call you I wont do this.

Hmmmmmmmmmm "digging up dirt thing was a lil too much" if I quote you right. So the right thing to do is not check out a breeder advertising on the Internet, don't find out if they are a puppymill or broker, don't find out how many breeds they have, don't let anyone else know what you might know as I and others who see red flags, know what to look for but heaven forbid, don't tell anyone, and let some unsuspecting buyer buy without being informed. Because we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings?

Nice to know ALL puppy buyers must be happy with how their breeder dealt with them when they bought off the Internet. Perhaps not?
