You couldn't advertise the other breeds here but as you can see having that many different breeds is a concern to some people, to others it is not. I, for one, would like to know and see nothing wrong with sharing the information with others that would also like to know. A well-informed buyer is a satisified buyer.

Anyway, back to the pups. One of the earliest posts had asked about the parent's pictures. I took some this afternoon. Be mindful that they are not professionally done. Mia Ewok, the mom, has the gray backdrop. Bubba, the dad, has the greenery backdrop. Thanks, Teri

				   | The pups' current weights at that time was 2-4 pounds, not the sire. Teri

				   | Mia has a nice thick coat where Bubba has a thinner lighter coat. I would not say that I sell a lot of Yorkie Babies. We generally have about 3 litters a year. Teri

If I was in the market for a new Yorkie, I would want to know a little about the breeder I was getting the puppy from, wouldn't you? I would want to know how many dogs she has, how many times they get bred, how many breeds she has on the premises (accidents do happen -- and sometimes a person doesn't even know until a subsequent generation!), what register is used (AKC is my choice -- others might like something else), I want to know if the person brokers puppies for other people or if the puppies have been raised in her home. It should not be a guessing game when you buy a puppy. Knowing the background, the environment, the credentials, the procedures, the whole story -- not just the price and a cute picture. The person who orginally alerted the concerns was not judgemental just informative -- and these are just concerns for some of us; others are looking for a cuddly dog and the details are less important. My first Yorkie was like that for me -- I just loved her when I saw her and had no idea what the standard was or what her background was -- I just wanted to love her. But even then, I asked a lot of questions and made sure to see her living conditions before I bought her. She was far from meeting standards but she was a wonderful addition to the family. This time around I am looking for more information -- I want to love these Yorkies just as much, but I would also like to wind up with two that are actually within standards, so that I can breed them if we decide to. Even when you get all of the tickets punched, there is still no guarantee your puppy will meet standards when grown -- but there is a better chance if you do your homework and know all these details that some tried to point out. I don't think they were mean about it, I hope you did not think I was being mean either -- I did question how she could have 38 puppies + the adult dogs in her own home and well cared for. As it turned out -- she did not own all the dogs. It is just a sharing of information and I do not think any of it was wrong. I am sure there is a market for her puppies. But those who do not want to use that type of breeder, or those looking for something different should know the whole story so as not to waste both sides time. This is JMHO and not necessarily the only one, obviously. That is why I come to a forum -- to get different opinions. Sorry this is so lengthy but I wanted you to know that these are real concerns for some buyers and sharing information is not a bad thing. Not to say anything less of this person just that everyone is not looking for the same thing. The flip side is that responsible breeders will ask a lot of questions of the person buying their puppies too.

Many looking for a puppy just aren't aware of what can be going on out there. I don't like to see people buying uninformed not by their fault but just because they didn't know. The more information anyone can get before purchasing a puppy, the better armed they are to make the right choice. | |
