I don't have much money around 250-300! I am really really desperate. Please email me if you know anyone or if you are selling yorkies that fir my search criteria....age and gender is very crucial. | I do not mean to be the voice of doom and gloom but.......... If you want a full bred Yorkie puppy, it is going to be virtually impossible to get one for $200-$300. Even non AKC registry eligible Yorkie pups are around the $600.00 - $850.00 range. If you want a puppy that is from a reputable breeder and is AKC registered with a good lineage background--you have to expect paying well over $1,000.00. Even the "designer" breeds like a Yorkiepoo are almost $1,000.00. And they are not even a recognized breed with AKC. Sorry to be negative, but this is reality. |

| Me Again Thanks for your support and feed back and I realized that I should get a puppy a bit more older I originally wanted one that was 12-16 weeks old. And you can get puppies that can be registered in AKC and the other kennel clubs for around my price. My aunt has a girl Brandy for that price and she only payed 300 although she bargained from a 350 original price...but I guess its because she lives in Alabama....eveything is cheaper in the south! LOL. But once again thank you. Also if you know anyone who is giving away a puppy or less than 300 thats a boy post here please. P.S. Thank you for replying and letting me know what I was getting into! And thanks for letting me know about the different prices, kennel clubs, and ages that were more appropriate or should I say leaving mommy friendly. Yours Truly, C. Johnson |

| Good Luck on your search. Maybe you could get with your aunts breeder and see if she has any available. There aren't many out there at that price. Were you looking for a standard sized one, 4 to 7 pounds? The larger ones usually run cheaper. |

| I agree with Jeanie, contact your aunts breeder and maybe she will have a puppy for you, in your price range. I have to say, that I am amazed that your aunt got a yorkie puppy that cheap. I have contacted many people regarding a Yorkie puppy in the past 6-7 weeks. I did see that the breeders in the Southern states were much cheaper than ones from the NY/NJ/PA area. But even still, the cheapest tiny Yorkie puppies I have come across were from Kentucky and they were $800.00. Those puppies are not AKC eligible and never will be because their parents are not AKC registered. They are ACA registered, but that is a much, much lower and less sought after registry. I am not saying the AKC registration is the be all and end all; many great dogs are not AKC. But for those that this is important: if you want to show or breed the dog; AKC registry is vital. Also AKC standards for the breeding of the pups is more regulated and strict. This is what you are paying for. The better the lineage of the dog and the smaller they are--the more they cost. Good luck in finding your baby! |

| Why are people still asking for free yorkies on here? Please read the sticky at the top. We do not allow begging for free puppies or puppies at extreme reduced costs. Feel free to PM sellers with an offer, but the public forum is not a place to beg or whine for a Yorkie.

| 2 months or less is way much too young for a puppy to go in a new home . Desperate peoples are excellent prays for unscrupulous breeders . |

| Please just be careful of scammers. $300 is honestly unrealistic for a yorkie puppy. If you find anyone offering that price it is most likely a scam or a sick puppy. If you find someone on the internet selling for that price, or worse, for free, run in the other direction. If something is too good to be true, it usually is. You have to think for yourself, if a yorkie is free, then why can't they find it a nice home locally? Good luck, I hope you get your yorkie, just save up some money and do your research and get a quality puppy. |

| wow....whoever would sell a yorkie for less than $800 would scare me. the least expensive in my area is 1200.00. why does gender and age a"crucial" criteria??? also, it was mention in this thread that "We do not allow begging for free puppies or puppies at extreme reduced costs. Feel free to PM sellers with an offer, but the public forum is not a place to beg or whine for a Yorkie."
