| revision I suppose I should revise my post to say I'm looking for a girl as close to 7lbs as possible - with erect ears. I'd also really like a golden girl (when she's older) with a short little snout. Hmmmm. . . sounds like I want a little yorkie . . . only big in size. I'm sure she's out there somewhere. . . Thanks for everyone's help. Life would be so boring if we were all the same! Never a dull moment here at YT! Jodi |

| Sure here is a few pics I took today. She is also 19 week old today. Libby has learned to sit and we are going to start on the shake command next. I do not have a weight on her, my scales need a new battery..I would guess 5.5 to 6 lbs. |

| i wouldn't buy an inbred dog if i knew and could possibly help it i'm sure MANY people feel the same and someone who does that without informing buyers is misleading them.....it's just creepy/gross! you should have a yorkie that's 11#fixed not bred. pet quality yorkie. |

| I dont know if the previous message is pertaining to me, however My yorkies are not inbred. I brought my yorkies from two different breeders. I would never do that. It can cause all kinds of birth defects. (just like humans) So just to let everyone know, that message was not for me. I would never. |

Peters: There's no way to hide that a dog is inbred. If you have the pedigrees. Also, you might spay or neuter an 11# dog but that's just because it's a Yorkie, right? You wouldn't spay or neuter a Poodle that weighs 11#'s would you? Do you swing the other way too? Would you spay or neuter a Chihuahua because it's 2#? | |

| At 6 weeks, few pups ears are erect unless they are very small, and have been being shaved already from a young age. If you want your pups ears to come up, you need to shave them with a mustache trimmer (I use the wahl performer - 15.00 at walmart) the weight of the hair on the ears keeps them down. You need to shave them 1x per week for the next few weeks, if they are not coming up on their own, you will need to tape them (continue shaving them) otherwise they will likely not come up. I start shaving puppy ears at 2 weeks, and every week thereafter, my ears usually never go down from birth from doing that. If I have a floppy, a few days of tape does the trick. Quote:

| I know I have never posted on this site before. I actually am trying to do some research on leather ear. I got a little guy from rescue this weekend and he is battling with this issue. That actually brings me to my next statement. WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE BREEDING ANYWAY? I know there are uneducated people out there that won't consider getting a dog from rescue or consider paying the outrageous prices these breeders charge a status symbol. But if there aren't that many people breeding then maybe more people would consider doing this. And to even consider inbreeding is ridiculous. Like there are not enough dogs without homes and families then to make some that will knowingly have issues to increase their chances of being dumped off someplace or to not have their deliberately made genetic issues cared for. I just don't understand. I am so sorry but I just can't support any breeding. Especially by people that don't know what they are doing and are just doing to do it. If you are professionally showing then maybe but why not help the ones that are out there before making 100's more to take the homes from the ones in the pound? |
