| AKC has no rules governing in, line or out breeding...you can breed father/daughter and then bred the sibs back to each other. AKC is a record keeping organazation, not the dog breeding police. |

| Sorry........I guess I read your post too quickly and was confused......I thought it was saying the opposite......Thanks for all the info about inbreeding and crossbreeding and linebreeding. I've always heard that inbreeding was bad and I saw several posts from people advising never to buy an inbred pup, so I thought it was something to steer clear of. I didn't realize that there can sometimes be a legitimate reason for doing it.

| A micro teaspoon to go with the micro teacup ? It seems that in a few years , peoples will want Yorkies under 2 pounds because 2 will be too big . I can perfectly imagine why there are so many faults in this wonderful breed when some suppose to be breeders are going from smaller to smaller Yorkies. |
