| Female Yorkie Wanted Hello, My father and I have been looking all over for a female, young adult Yorkie or Silky Terrier. We would love to give to my mother for Mother's Day, but just haven't had much luck. We have tried rescue places and other adoption places, but haven't found what we are looking for. My parents had a Silky before and she passed away of old age, so they decided to wait a little before getting another one. Well, it is that time and my mom really would like another dog. Please contact me if you know who or where we could get buy (not more than $300) or adopt one. My parents are in Columbus, Ohio and I am in Philadelphia, but we are willing to drive a little to get the right dog. Thank you, Shelah |

| Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. We put in an application for one place via Ron's Rescued Rascals and she is in a foster home in Pittsburgh. I am not sure how many other applicants they have gotten for this dog though. We will see. |

| First off, welcome to YT! We do not allow threads begging for free puppies or looking for puppies at extreme reduced costs. Yorkies are generally from $500 on up, with most being in the $1000 to $1500 range. Please do not post looking for Yorkies below $500. If your budget for a Yorkie does not allow for $500 or more, you may want to look into Yorkie rescues or adoptions of older Yorkies, as they may be better suited to your price range. ^^^ That's from the rules section. Sums it up nicely. You are going to be very hard pressed to get a pup from any ETHICAL breeder for such a little amount. Given the amount of costs breeders have to cover, it's really not hard to understand why. Be patient, I'm sure you'll find the perfect little one soon. | Kind of the point, I think. Rehoming fees are typically a bit less and probably going to be the better option. Maybe the op could get on a waiting list? It takes a little time sometimes. |
