Hello, It seems like there is some chocolate yorkie bashing going on here! My baby is AKC %100 purebred and considered correct...but I don't care about that. She is a member of my family...and I would love her the same if she suddently turned purple. I know that some "shady" breeders out there try to sell chocolate yorkies for more $ by calling them rare. This is obviously wrong since they are not considered proper by the AKC. However they are still adorable little babies who need love and a good home. Someday, far in the future, when it is time for me to look for a new pet...I will definately look into chocolate yorkies b/c they should be a couple hundred cheaper and I would be purchasing the same loving bundle of joy that I would get with an AKC proper yorkie. Besides they are REALLY cute

I just want to say that I am in shock of this thread. In bdemotte's first question it is clear that she is just overall uncertain of the breed and things of that nature. Nearly everyone decided to jump on her and attack everything she said, even when she reexplained what she ment. How immature! I do not know why anyone would think they are better. SO you have 10 or 20 years of breeding does that mean you love Yorkies more than her or her daughter? Obviously not if you can't accept every one. A breed's standards are determined by people not by the animal. Odd things do happen... And geneticly, it is more like imbreeding to breed for one particular color than otherwise...but I guess you won't admit that. The MAJORITY of people who were not just out right rude were pretty phony! Get a life...just be nice to people. Why don't you ask for someone to clarify what they mean before you jump down their throats?

PuppyLuv, I received an email stating you had replyed to my post in this thread, so I assume you are mad at me! I would just like to clarify that in my response earlier in the thread, I was merely trying to explain why the original thread starter was getting so many negative responses! If you reread my post, I think you will find I was very diplomatic in my approach, and was not trying to be cruel. I believe the person was ignorant to the reason people were upset. Do I think they meant to come across as they did? NO! That is why I tried to explain how they were sounding, so they'd know why people misunderstood! Sorry that you took it so personally, I didn't mean to offend - but I also don't apologize for my post, I think I was very honest and tactful!!! ~Kelley (truce)

If money is not an issue and you are not a breeder but just want to find him a good home why auction him. Just work on finding someone who will love him as much as you and your daughter love your yorkies.
