I'm looking for a Teacup Yorkie for my daughter. Can someone assist me with finding a breader?

You can go to puppyfind.com and do a search in your state for yorkies.

Be careful when using the word 'teacup'. There are bad breeders out there that throw that word around to charge more and get you to buy from them. May I suggest thinking of the max weight you want (less than 4 pounds etc..) and inquiring about a specific size you are looking for at maturity? Hopefully you've done some reading on the Tinier Yorkies and how much more care they require.

www.puppysites.com is also a place with many Yorkie breeders listed.

Welcome to YT! and...there's no such thing as a teacup yorkie, it is a marketing term used by unscrupulous breeders as a sales tool. I am a breeder in eastern PA and would be glad to assist you in a search for a healthy, well-bred pup. You can pm me here or e-mail to sylvanyorkies@yahoo.com.

I apologize for using the term Teacup. I never had a dog and didn't know too much information about it. I was told that what I was suppose to ask for. Please accept my humble apologies. Thanks for the information.

If you want to find what many (MANY, NOT ALL) to be a "teacup," per say...determine what final weight you want the dog to be and look for a pup with parents that size. Just do NOT tell a breeder you are looking for a teacup...if you are dealing with a dishonest, money-hungary breeder, they will milk you for every penny they can get.

He is 1.6 pounds, but we don't use the teacup word either. ...justus

There are small and larger in almost every litter. I have some small pups at this time, but would have a lot of questions for you including the age of your daughter. Yorkies are not meant for small children. If you like you can contact me at yorkies@lodisnet.com

There is no need to apologize, part of what is great about this site is the chance it gives all of us to learn more about our dogs and make better decisions regarding them. Everybody was new to this at some point and we're just trying to help. You can use the search above to check topics discussed on how to choose a good breeder, terms that are unfamiliar, diet, health issues or just about anything. Many of us are happy to help, don't be shy, jump right in the water's fine.
