Female Yorkie wanted in Central NY Hello- I'm just outside the Utica area (an hour away from Syracuse) and am looking for a female Yorkie. We recently had to put down our beloved 13 year old Yorkie and our family is heartbroken. We are now looking to add another wonderful companion to our family. I have been in contact with a couple of breeders, but am still looking. I would appreciate any contacts that someone might have. Thank you!!!!

Thank you for the kinds words. I can't believe how much I miss my baby and I'm not sure we should be doing this so soon, but our house just isn't the same anymore. We are looking at local breeders and are actually looking at a pup next weekend! (This happened just after my thread was posted). My fingers are crossed that it all works out. I can't believe I never came across this site before now. What great info. out there and looking at all the beautiful pics has me yearning for a puppy more than ever.

Make sure that you are comfortable with this breeder, before seeing the pups. All pups are so gorgeous and well the hole we have in our heart after losing a loved one is so big, that sometimes we leap before we look. I'm not sure how to link threads or "stickies" so if you click on each forum on the top you will see the stickies. From my heart to yours; Go with the breeder who does all the necessary health checks on their mating sires/dams. Go with the breeder who doesn't let their pups go prior 12weeks of age. Go with the breeder who will let you see sire and dam. Go with the breeder who has a health guarantee that is worth something. Do your research. BBB, Google this breeder, ask for references, ask to speak to their vet. Go with the breeder who will be there for you to answer questions, to support you, even if it is ten years down the road. I wish you all the best in your search for a happy healthy pup

Thanks for link and thank you for the advise regarding breeders. I did do my homework on the breeder that we're going to look at next week, so I feel very comfortable. Without asking, she gave me the # to her vet, will give a written health guarantee as well as the NYS Puppy Lemon Law, which I never knew existed. Her dogs have a great pedigree and it is clear that she loves her animals. I have a good feeling, but don't want to get too exicted. My fingers are crossed and I hope that the puppy that is right for our family is there waiting for us. Thanks again for all your well wishes and advise. I feel a bit silly, but I'm afraid that this puppy will make me miss my "Lexy" more. She had quite the personality and I know that new pup won't replace her, but I'm hoping it will fill a void that we're feeling now.

They are beautiful! Thanks for posting their pics. If things don't work out with the local breeder that we've found, I'll be in touch. Thanks again.

| So sorry to hear of your loss Hi, I am so sorry to hear of your loss . I know how hard it is to have a dog you had for a long time pass away. It will get easier over time, but never forgotten. I wanted to see if you found a female yorkie puppy yet? I have a 5 month old female yorkie that is looking for her forever home. I placed a posting in the for sale section on yorkie talk as well..waiting for it to be approved. Lexi is a sweet little girl, weighing in at 1.7 lbs at 5 months old. She loves to go on walks, car rides..fetches toys. She sleeps in her pink doggie bed! Everyone she meets falls in love w/ her. I'm asking $1000 for her. She will come w/ limited AKC papers and she must be spayed. I am screening potential homes for her as I want only the best for this sweet girl! Please let me know if you or anyone you might know be interested in her.
