| Looking to adopt/rescue a Yorkie/silky terrier in MARYLAND Seems that I need to call local shelters on a daily basis to find a yorkie/silky terrier. They go before they even post their pics on their sites! I don't want to buy one at the pet shop when there are so many out there in need of a home. I live in the MD/DC area. If anybody out there know of a cutie looking for a home please let me know. Thanks! mppmcps@yahoo.com |

| Google Yorkie Rescues and see if you can come up with one that isn't too far from you. I know that specific rescues for Yorkies have lots for adoption. Have you checked out Petfinder.com? You do need to be careful, though, that you are dealing with a legitimate rescue. Puppy mills have been known to pose as a rescue on Petfinder to get rid of their unwanted Yorkies. Make sure that a puppy you adopt has its vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and has had a dental. Just checked Petfinder. There's a couple Yorkie mixes up for adoption in your state. You will also find Yorkies from VA, WV, and PA. I'm not sure how far those places are from you, but you might want to give them a try. ~Joanne~

| Hi there I live on the eastern shore of Maryland and I have 2 rescue dogs. Maryland. Max is 8 yr old yorkie, Minnie is a 7 year old silky. They are both very loving and great lap dogs. Their Mommy is just to busy to take care of them anymore so they spend a lot of time at a kennel sitting in a cage miserable. They have been very well cared for and both have been fixed and up to date on their shots. They love their Mommy to pieces and follows her everywhere she goes when she is home with them. So,this is going to be very hard on them but they will adjust fine in a few weeks. If you no of anyone that might be interested please let me no. They both come with all their supplies and have both been recently groomed. I have to keep them together though. They have been together since they were babies and it would not be the right thing to do to separate them. |

| Hi are you still looking for a yorkie to adopt? I have a 10 year old male named Tyson who weighs 10.5 pounds. I rescued Tyson 7 years ago and now I have to give him up. I love Tyson like a child but I am moving to a rental in DC (losing my home) and I cannot take him with me. Are you looking for an adult male who has not been neutered?
