I know I am going to get bad reportts on this or something. But I think we should just let her sell her yorkie, I am not saying that I agree with her breeding such a small dog or the price, but I dont think there should be an heated arguments over it. If you have the money then great if not then let it be and go on about the day. I of course do not have that kind of money. But is she thinks she can get and have a great family to take care of the little guy then so be it. It is her business as to where this little guy goes.

:thumbup: I agree, I mean I am so sure, if you see a yorkie thats super cute, get it if you can.. dont try to offer an arm a leg and your 1st born over it.

IF I were selling high priced yorkies - I would def be telling potential clients about the 10 grand puppy I just sold - it would make anything they were interested in seem like a deal...pretty good selling tool actually.

WOW - I can't believe I just read that. Are you SERIOUS ? They are EVERYWHERE !!! Where's your compassion for those that have been scammed - you really don't think it could happen to you ?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I haven't read any "bashing" of anyone... I havent read where someone called a wealthy person a name or anything. The way I feel about it -- it is not reasonable to charge 8500.00 for a puppy -- that is out of 90% of people's price range. IF there are people out there willing to pay that - fine. This forum is a place for people to offer their opinions -- and most people have agreed that 8500.00 is ludicrous. I love my dog as all YT'ers on this forum do and I paid 750.00 for her. You can't judge on how someone will love their dog by the amount they pay. (One of the best dogs I've ever owned was a STRAY !!)
I live in a decent house (3 br, 2 ba -- no mansion, no shack) and this dog costs more than my house payments for a year.

Let me clear up something -- I am not knocking this lady for trying to get 8500.00 out of this dog. I don't AGREE with it, but from what I can remember I've posted - I have not degraded her. (only mentioned the dog looked dirty) I just hope the dog goes to a home that it will be taken care of when the "fun" wears off -- (the "fun" is still going on here at MY house -- I was relating to the Paris Hilton's and Jessica Simpson's... lol)

You have got to be joking me.... dogs/puppies are living breathing creatures, with souls (I believe) and people are bidding on them, like they are goods?????

In the end, I have to say that any normal person in their right mind will do their research, and know that this person is taking advantage of a innocent animal, which is the product of a breeding two small dogs to get a tiny.. this is not the 20% stat... it was on purpose.... sad, sad, sad.

I agree 100% with you KP -- I would like to have him (and give the poor thing a good scrubbing) but he cost more than my house payment for a YEAR!! LOL I didn't remember anyone "bashing" either.... we both must have missed it. Are we gonna have to find a moderator for this thread? LOL

Just wanted to mention that when I was rehoming a sought after breed from the rescue , one time, I asked quite a whooping sum. Not outrageous but top of normal. I knew if I asked little that I would have too many people wanting her without thinking. I carefully interviewed applicants and then after finding a great home ... I informed them there would be NO CHARGE at all.

Probably not the case here but goes to show you that it CAN happen :p

I think there's a difference in "top of normal" and "outrageous". Seems one could interview and tell a good home from a not-so-good home without a price tag attached to it. That is wonderful that you gave the needy dog a home with no charge... my hat is off to you.
And I agree. .probably not the case here.
