| It is with heavy heart to post this even though its been a few years since I have. Even after being a few weeks I'm still struggling with her loss. My little Maggie Moo who we had gotten from Krista at Southeast Yorkies through this great site passed over the rainbow bridge July 7, 2017. On July 5th she had to go the Vets because she fell ill. Moo put up a good fight having almost 2 blood transfusions but just couldn't kick it. This is a little bio of my little girl who I miss so much. It been almost 3 weeks that my Maggie Moo went over the rainbow bridge, she had Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia and Thromocopenia, this little girl was taken way to soon in my eyes. So today I went and picked up her ashes, a lock of her hair and her little paws pressed in clay. I guess you could say it was bittersweet. Moo had multiple names and all depending on who was speaking to her. Maggie, Moo, Moo Moo, Munchkin, Magga Moo, Porkchop, Porky, Little Princess, Omega Moo, doodles and several others throughout her short 9 years, but to me she was my baby…..she was like having a little kid always needing to be taken care of. When Shean first saw her listed on a Yorkie forum up for adoption, Shean said to me let’s get her for Henry to play with, I didn’t really want another dog but….we got her anyway. I wanted to change her name to Mabel and have Henry and Mabel, growing up as a kid I remember my parents being friends with these old farmers and their names were Henry and Mabel. We even had a little T-shirt made up with “Mabel” on it. But once we got Moo it was decided that “Maggie” fit. For the longest time we called her Maggie Moo and one day I happened to look at her paperwork that came with her and low and behold, her full name was “Maggie Moo”. When we got Moo, she was about a year old and not more than 3.5 lbs. and came straight from Texas, she was being re-homed because the family didn't have the time to give to her. We picked the little s**t up from the airport after there had been a delay and we took her out of her little travel case and she was covered in poo. We cleaned her up as best as we could and then made the drive home. From there she would meet her new little brother Henry who also was a Yorkie. We had to put a bell on her collar because she was so small and always managed to get under your feet. In the beginning Henry would bounce her into the walls when playing because she was so much smaller than him. At that point I was ready to give her away so she wouldn’t get hurt AND believe it or not, I didn’t really like her, there was something about her that I just couldn’t put my finger on….then we had her hair cut because she looked like a wooly bear, she got the “puppy cut”. And I’m not sure what happened after that but Moo stole my heart and has ever since. There is nothing I would have done for that little girl, even if it meant sacrificing to make things best for her so she would lead a happy life. Moo enjoyed being with me, whether it was just watching TV or putting her in her pouch and taking her for a ride on the motorcycle or in her booster seat and cruising in the Mustang with the top down. Even went tubing with her little life vest on! We're still not sure why but we noticed that when she went into shear panic at the sound of a beeper, the tones of the scanner and the smoke from bacon grease or just a plain fire burning at camp. But the funny thing is, you could start 35 Harleys and she was right there with her momma ready to go. I remember she would run around the bike wanting to get up on it. Later on, Moo would go to training classes and earn her stripes; she also had her CDC and then went on to get her Therapy Dog Certificate.(anyone who knew Moo knows how hard it was for her to pass up food and her being only inches off the ground made it even more difficult, but she passed with flying colors). She would go and visit my mother when she was in the hospital and that would just make mom’s day. Mom always called her “ Maggie my darlin” and of course she would give her treats, even once in a while sneak Moo a piece of her secret stash of candy corn. I don’t think there wasn’t anything Moo would do just to be with her family, every so often I would take her into work to see the girls or if I had to just stop in to take care of something she use to sit on my desk and wait for me to finish, she enjoyed running in the fields or just walking the loop in the driveway even with her short little legs! She was always into something and would do anything for cheese. However, she LOVED McDonald's French fries, she was an angel, but when it came to the drive thru at Mickey D’s she had nothing but a potty mouth, she would b*****itch that she wanted her French fries. Right up until Moo fell ill she was still doing her therapy work. I could go on and on about how great this little girl was and how many people besides myself who will truly miss her, she certainly left a lasting impression. RIP…. ohhhh Maggggaaaa Mooooo, mommy loves you. |

| Thank you for sharing with us the loss of your darling Maggie Moo. Sounds very heart rendering what you all went through. She did have all those wonderful years with all of you. How is Henry doing through this loss? I am sure he must miss her and needs your love even more so now that she is gone from you both. You need each other to help the grieving process. Bless you both and may things get better even though it will take time I know. Each day will be a tiny bit better especially since you have Henry to love on now and he has you. What a tribute to Maggie you wrote us. Thank you. And thank you for the last pictures of her you shared with us.

| Thank you, I think I just needed a place to go and talk about Moo and I know here was the best place for that. The loss I feel for her is sometimes overwhelming. Henry believe it or not doesn't seem to mind, he has other brothers that he can play with so he doesn't seem to notice. He was able to see Moo after she passed and he did smell her and then went on his merry way. I sometimes wish it were that easy. |

| Dear Babbluuu, I understand what you said about the loss being so overwhelming. I felt the same way when I lost my Lacey 6 years ago. I did not think I would ever get over the loss. I still miss her so much sometimes but it is not as overwhelming as it was. I guess it is a good thing that Henry is not grieving her loss as I have read about how some have been affected by the loss of a friend and they were bad off. Since he has others to be with the loss will not affect him the same way I see. But it is good to talk to others about your loss as it helps so much to do so. It did a lot for me. Things will get better by and by but the memories will always be a sweet reminder of your baby.
