| If she was bought at a pet store in Canada then she would be unregistered. Any dog sold in a pet store in Canada is unabled to be registered with CKC, the only Canadian registry. She is very cute, good luck in your search of a good home for her and with your new baby on the way. |

I'm sure it won't be that bad. Just hectic(sp). I'm sure you will absolutely love it. It would probably turn out better than you think. I hope that everything turns out the way you want. Good Luck

| HAHAHAHAHAh I knew I would eventualy get that question. Actually, this dog is technically my son's dog. He was 2 when we first got her...and we gave him the opportunity to name his very first pet. At first it sounded like Elmo...and it was quite cute...but he got mad and started yelling ELBOW NOT ELMO...and pointing to his elbow. And since then she's been the famous ELBOW!!! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I wish you the BEST of luck in finding Elbow a loving home ...but I need to ask if you've thought this through all the way ? Many many people have yorkies and children and to displace her before you've given her a chance is sad to me....I'm not judging you - I just wonder if you waited and see how it goes first - THEN make this decision. When we take on the responsibility of our pets - we should keep them for the duration of their lives unless it's an impossible situation....It sounds like you love her and she sounds like a great yorkie ....Is there a chance you could just wait and see how it goes ? |

| I have to think about it. I don't know. I will have to talk to my husband about it. It's hard to say really what I will end up doing. You just never know, right? |

| Awww.... Thanks guys. You have all been really sweet. I think my husband and i need to really talk about what's best for us and for Elbow. She's definitely a character. I was never much of a pet person...only had a cat and that was before our first baby. We named her Traffic because we found her on the 401 Highway. She was just a little tiny rat-looking thing...and it was in the middle of a huge storm. She was the best family pet, until Ethan was born. Then she started acting up and throwing all of his sterilized bottles on the floor and she would sleep on Ethan's stomach at night. She was really jealous so this is why we are a bit apprehensive with Elbow. I know Cats and dogs are different...but I can't help but be wary about the safety of my children. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I do understand but give her a chance and you just may rethink your feelings - Most of our pets are fine with babies....I know there is always exceptions but PLEASE see how she does first before giving her up - she has a home with you.... I just really believe that unless it's a totally intolerable situation - no pet should be given up...we are their whole life and they love us. GOOD LUCK ! I really do wish you the best and I hope you keep her. |

My son's name is Ethan he is 9 now. I never heard the name that much at all until I had him. Now it's everywhere. Congrats on the new baby. Do you know what it is? How old is Ethan? I hope that it works out that you will keep Elbow. She will be great for yout two little ones. What we did with our Shih Tzu when Ethan was born, when I brought him home. I laid him on the bed put Precious on the bed and just let her sniff him all over and gave him a few kisses that's all there was to it. She never really paid any attention to him after that.
