| Our hearts are broken Hi We are in Canada and just got stung by a scam to get a small female named Katts. We found out the person selling her is actually listed on several sites and is a scam artist reusing photos of a lovely tiny yorkie pup. Our hearts are broken and we ask that those of you in the market please be cautious if buying online. As for us, we have our little male coming but cannot afford another female and are praying something comes our way. Lina |

| Sorry for your loss Hi It is sad that there are people that do not understand the love between a family and their yorkie. When it is individualized the pain is larger because there is no one to share it with. Grief is a difficult thing because no one feels it quite the same way yet we all go through specific changes that help us to deal with the loss. For some 2 weeks is enough for others it never happens and they spend their lives lost in pain. I am glad that you are ready to find a new baby. Good luck to you our hopes and hearts are with you. | I'm sorry you got scammed. I've learned that with if you are selling or being sold something, to google the person's name and email address. Usually it will come up with some interesting results if it's a scam.

| Yes I have learned that too. Sadly, not before paying for the animal. It means we will be some time before we can get another girl but it also means we come out of this a little wiser. It is sad that this kind of exploitation even exists but in a world of puppy mills and abuse, why should I be surprised. thanks for your kind words. Hugs from Munchie and Me |

| I'm so sorry for you, (I had the same thing happen to me) I'm in the process of trying to find a yorkie, i've even talked with my Vet, who has warned me of purchasing a puppy off the internet. I'm in Upstate NY, and haven't seen any yorkie breeders in the area. Good luck |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I am sorry you got scammed!! I all most got scammed when I was trying to sale my standard poodle. This guy emailed me was going to send me a money order then have a private shipper pick up the dog. I told him to call me and he did from a hearing impaired line. He wouldn't even answer my questions. I just had a bad filling from it so I told him that I knew it was a scam and I contacted the police. I didnt hear from him again. But my friend got scammed the same way. Was your scam the same way? |

Fortunately i didn't fall for it. Think of that poor puppy.... So it works both ways. We all have to be vigilant. So sorry this happened to you. Your perfect Yorkie will find you.

munchiesmom ....... in order to save others from being scammed why don't you post more details of this scam ....... name of the scammer, location of the scammer, how much you were scammed for etc. ......... details divulged on a list such as this are important if we are to even put a dent into the pet seller scams out there. | |

| I tell you people are unbelievable out there. I even get emails from people in other country's they can no longer take care of their yorkie Blah blah blah. send money. I am a breeder and I was scammed by a man in Up State New York. I even had my vet talk to the man. I sent the money the babies were shipped in and they were horrible nothing like the pictures. They were huge, floppy ears and 1 was really sick kept going into seizures. After several phone calls from me and my vet he decided to send me another one which I certainly didn't want. My vet and I found loving homes for them all. The one that was sick wound up having a serious heart problem and after several weeks and over a thousand dollars of vet bills the puppy lost its fight. To this day I would never buy a puppy through the internet and I never sell a puppy to anyone that has not planned out or done their research about a yorkie baby. Good luck in finding your new baby my heart really goes out to you and anyone else who has been put through such a terrible experience. |

| note really, foolish us we answered a for sale ad from someone saying they could not keep their new puppy anymore because they were moving somewhere that the dog would not be accepted. Once they had our money they said they had to work in Cameroon and would have to ship the dog and asked for more.Stupid us we sent it and of course, had the flight number etc went to the airport and no pup. Several frantic days of calling the airport and 'shipping' company later we figured out we were scammed. We called the police but because it was international they could do nothing. After that of course, we noticed tons of similar scams all involving Cameroon. That was when we learned this is a multi country scam. Our loss but what about that tiny female pup. We don't know when the pics were taken or what befell that darling animal and it is eating us up. |
