| Wanted new female for breeding I would like to get a new female to breed .I want to be a small breeder with 2-4 females . I would like to breed when I have inquiries for puppies . I do want to be a responsible breeder. I have been in contact with a breeder close in my area that is getting out of the business due to her and her husbands age. I promised a female to my son, who is 16 so we would be co-owners. I am not really interested in shipping a baby. I will drive a few hours from were I live preferably. |

If she isn't good enough for showing..why would you want to breed her? If she isn't good enough to show...she isn't good enough to breed.

| No offense but I hope whoever has a female to sell at least checks the buyer out to make sure that the dog will not be used in a puppy mill. I see people here posting that they have a female for sale, that they will make an excellent breeder but do you not care about where your female is going. It would seem to me that the buyer should be checked out before everyone starts offering up females for her to breed. Again, no offense but I'm rather bothered by this. Elaine |

| showing A dog can be a very good breeding potential, but for a number of reasons not be great for the ring... There is nothing wrong in breeding a female that is not tiptop showable... |

From what I have seen about advertisements concerning puppy mills, the add for puppies could include champion even if the pedigree includes a champion ions down the line.I haven't seen them looking into buying up quality puppies. Don't you think the buyer and the breeder would go into detail about both of their back grounds so the breeder before selling a pup would be convinced the puppy is going to a good home. Just because someone answers an add does not mean that puppy is sold. I would think both parties would invest some time in conversation . I have found some good information concerning disreputable breeders etc. from this website. The only flaw I see to this venue is a small breeder does not have to register if they have less then 5 dogs in their kennel. So unless you get to know someone personally or know someone who knows them, what guarantee do you have they are who and what they say they are. You have to be careful and investigate and have faith you make the right decisions. So your dogs aren't the ones that suffer down the line.

| I understand what is being said I have 7 females from a litter that was whelped on May2oth. I am keeping one of the females. I have sold the rest of the girls, and I have promised a pup to my niece for a graduation present. I am not letting them go till they are 10-11 weeks along. The realization of letting them go about broke my heart this Sunday when a father and daughter came over and picked out 2 of the puppies so I have 2 that 3 people are looking at. I know exactly what is being said. I wanted to put in the sells agreement that if you ever can't take care of the pup then you have to return her to me, rather then going to a shelter or an iffy ,"I'll take her arrrangement" These pups are the offspring of my Buddy who was killed in an accident on May 5th, I keep looking for him in them everyday. I realized I lost the very first picture of him that was on my phone, and I didn't save it to my memory card. I miss him so much, he would be loving these little girls to play with. Their mom misses him as much as I do. She won't leave my feet. I stumble over her everyday. She jumps in a basket if I head for the door. |

| Thank you Little lady First place I dont just let my puppies go to anyone. I have a very strict contract about what is done with this puppy I have stayed off of Yorkie talk because of this kind of stuff. I can assure you that this puppy is quality dog and I for one are not a puppy mill or a back yard breeder. I am very impressed with the person who answered my add with how she treats her dogs according to her email but I do check references before I let a dog go to just anyone. I was contacted that this person had a thread on here wanting a female and she was from Indiana. I show my male and this female just does not have everything I want for the show ring. She is still very pretty. It is a great investment when you show at least 400 to 500 a weekend. Little lady I think you are the one from Indiana and the lady from PA these puppies were born 2/29/08 making them 18 wks old now |
