He's not neutered???!!! Well that's almost good news bc if you just get him neutered, you may see a whole different dog when his hormones normalize. As an un-altered dog right now, he's smelling things from miles away and his instincts are probably turned up - and this is probably very frustrating for him.

Another thought is, ask your vet for valium. Calm the dog w/ medications for a while - in the meantime getting him neutered.

Since they were sold as a pair, I'd exhaust all possible solutions before disrupting their lives further.

I agree that neutering him should calm him down some. Harley was alot more aggressive before we had him neutered but he was trying to be dominate to us...not other animals. I think you may see a world of difference if you neuter him. I think I would try that before giving him away.
