I am sure you will find a great home for him with the right breeder or pet owner. I think he is owrth more as a stud than if you neutered hime, but that is JMHO. Good luck and congratulations on your new baby!

I'm sure she would agree he is worth more than any amount of money! .....but yes, you will be able to sell any dog for more if he/she is not neutered/spayed.

I was thinking about this thread and the posts and I guess I have been naive...but I never stopped to think that stud dogs don't live as wonderful a life as a neutered male. Is this the case? I thought most good breeders treat their breeding dogs like their family and they provide them with love and attention and I know they have to be separated from females in heat but are they not good pets if they wear bellybands in the house?

I will have to agree with you on this. My 2 are breeders but don't live ANY differently than spayed/neutered animals. Other than the fact that they hopefully will have a few litters before they die.If not OH WELL!!

They are still my 2 spoiled rotten babies!!!!

my two studs are treated no different than my females...they are band when a gal is in season, when I leave the house I take the little man that is not breeding with me as to prevent any fighting in the house or accidents...

I'm new to this forum and joined originally looking for advice with respect to my 11 year old female. However I couldn't help but read this thread. I'm really quite surprised to find that nobody has spoken up and mentioned that no responsible breeder would sell an underweight yorkie for breeding purposes. There is no such thing as a teacup yorkie, it is not a recognized breed anywhere in the world and anyone who would attempt to charge you more money based on the animal being a purebred "teacup" yorkie is scamming you. This little darling should be neutered and spend the rest of his days living in a good home as a pet. Please don't encourage irresponsible breeding habits.
