| yes, you'll have a somewhat greasy coat. But, if you are attempting to cultivate a show coat....keeping them in oil, until their coat is long enough to put in wraps, is the only way you can help a coat that is matting.

| I'm having the same problem with Izzie. Bella's coat never tangled like hers. But my other concern is her coat looks thin. Is there something I can do to thicken it up, or will I just have to wait and see what her adult coat looks like? Is heredity the only factor or is there a supplement..besides Missing Link (it seems to make her itch, but I'm testing that theory ) that will help her coat? Thank you

| I hope so Her parents have wonderful coats. Thanks! I know Biewers have a little different coats and Yorkies. It's funny because when I brush her I can even tell the difference in the black hair to the white.

| Thanks Mardelin - you have been a Blessing Quote:
Well, I tried Mardelins Suggestions on my Puppy Stormy. I must say that I see an improvement in getting those nasty tangles out. It's gotta be the Oil & I left the Conditioner in for 10 minutes instead of washing it out right away - smoother hair on all 4 of my Yorkies. I didn't have the Almond Oil Yet, but used my Plush Puppy Seabreeze Oil. Works Great!!! My Isinis Brush on order, used a vent brush & metal comb for now. She looks a little Oily right now, But that will dry out by tomorrow. If it helps with those nasty puppy tangles - I'm willing to see her a little oily. Her hair now lays down better instead of sticking out all over the place. I will definatly try no to comb or brush until next bath this weekend. I have 4 yorkies with 4 different coat types & this method seems to be working tremedously better!!! I did not use the oil on the others just the puppy. I Did use a detangler to comb out while wet. I have: one 11 mth old silky coat one 22 mth old combination wirey coat (hair breaks easily & grows slowly) one 2 yr old combination silky coat one 16 wk old hairy puppy with tangles every day. I would like to thank Mardelin for her suggestions, she is a great asset to this Forum!!!
