| Congratulations on your new puppy. It is impossible to tell from the picture if he will have show potential. Perhaps you can take more pictures from different angles. Did you get him from a show breeder? Is he from champion lines? How much does he weight now? As for size, if he just reaches 7 lbs or a tiny bit over that would be acceptable for show. Structure and coat are the most important. It would be good if you could have an experience show person evaluate him in person.

| He looks nice for now. How big are his parents? How much does he weigh now? There are many yorkies that become champions that are a little over 7 lbs. The hardest thing about showing yorkies is the waiting game. You have to wait and see if he will have the right movement, right personality, right structure and right coat for a show dog. All these things have to come and sometimes if even one thing if off it makes it unpractical to show them. For now just enjoy him. Check around in your area for someone that give lessons on showing. Remember that no yorkie is perfect. Whenever you and him are ready, entered him in some shows and just have fun. Best of luck to you.

| From the picture it looks like his ears are mostly up. Hopefully if you keep them shaved they will come on up. It is hard to tell from the picture how his ear set is. You might need to tape them but you should get advise from someone that knows how to properly tape them.

| No, it is not rare. Some of your top winning yorkies have been over 7 lbs. As long as he does not go much over 7 lbs he would be okay. Did you ever weigh him?

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | This pic is not that great for evaluation but better than first pic You have his front legs posting (set ahead of his shoulders) the legs should travelstraight down from the shoulder area. It looks like his tail is lowset but that might just be the unfortunate stacking of the dog. Also a long upper thigh.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Try to take a video of his moving Movement tells a key story. His ears might need a bit of an assist to lift up = how-ever they don't seem to be shaved that well. Maybe try that first. 1/3 of the way down from the tip of the ear.
