Show Equipment Checklist?

Mardelin- I noticed that you brought up a pop up tent for shade. I am needing a new one. I've been through 2 of the cheaper flimsy ones. Do you or any other readers know where I can get a durable one, or anything about the ez up brand? Thanks.

We like eazy up. We need a new one this yr, last one lasted 10 yrs We are thinking of going up a size though

We have had an RV for this last year and the only way to go. It has taken us this year to work the bugs out on how everything works, but so nice. You have everything with you and it feels like home and you are just a few feet away for ringside. You can also check out the rings the night before or the morning of before everything happens. You are warm in winter and cool in summer. We walk out to the ring about 20 or 15 mins. before ring time. It is perfect! I do have to say - we will never do dry camping again. Only full hook up for us in the future.

*We use to use those nice pop up tents or canopies when we use to do the craft festivals. They are nice and last a long tim, but be careful if it is a windy day!

Oh gosh I'd love an RV, but hubby says he can't drive one And I don't know if I can. Did you take yours out for a test drive to see if you could manage it?
We usually stay in motels, and have the canopy, generator, grooming tables et al set up at show site.

Yes, you can handle it down the road. It is amazing how easy they are. You just have to get use to the feel. There are a lot of women handlers that drive their own RVs too and they drive theirs almost every weekend. The hardest part, which I have my husband do is to back it up in the spots, if we have to, especially if we arrive at night. At the last show even he backed into a golf cart and pushed it 2 feet. Luckily nothing happen to it. And the person helping us from the show parked it in the back where the Rv needed to go. The mirrors are great, but at night it is hard to judge.

I love the RV. It works out just a little cheaper than a hotel, since you do not have to eat out. The cost is anywhere from 10.00 a night to 30.00 a night depending on show and you have everything with you. It takes just a few minutes to set up and then you are done. We have a 28 footer with shower/tub for bathing the dogs in and full set up. AC too!!! It is great!

The last time we stayed in a hotel, before the RV, there was a party in the room next to us and then they also decided to carry the party outside of our door and window. When we complained at 2AM to the front desk - they came down to quiet the party and told them we were the ones that complained, so the party people started to bang on our door. That was it for me. We went out and got an RV a few weeks later. And also I know my sheets and blankets are clean!

At the show RV parks you meet a lot of nice people too. Yes, RV is the the only way to go.
