| Facial Furnishings Bands I am not an exhibitor, only a civilian, but I want to band my pet Yorkie's beard to try to protect it when he chews on his Merrick Wishbones. He has been chewing on his beard and getting the beef tendon yuckies stuck in his hair. I like what the chews do for cleaning his teeth and keeping him entertained, but I don't want him to lose his beard. Where is the best place on the face and chin to band, how close to the skin, and how often should they be removed or changed? Does anyone have pictures or links to pictures to demonstrate the banding? Thank you for your help. |

| http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...barrasing.html I had the same problem with Jada and the bullystick. This is a pic of how I did her beard. I use the terry cloth bands mad e by goody (at any drugstore or walmart in the hair goods section) these are the same bands I use for everyday keeping topknot up.

For moustaches make sure you only take moustache from upper lip and end just before the hinge of the jaw. Band it Hope this makes sense.

Put the band near the skin. Use 5/16 lightweight bands; Dog Bows: Dog Leads & Bows, Show Dog Bows and Show Supplies has the best price and turn around. Change them daily by cutting them out with band scissors or you are defeating the purpose. You don't need papers for banding. I sent the photo for parting reference. It's all I could send now. belovedyork.com | |

Just be patient with yourself and it really helps if you stay calm cause your boy will too. Razzle now sits when I do his face.. his eyes close, and he is totally relaxed. Before... gosh we went right, we went left, we put our head up then down, sigh... But one day I just took a deep yogic breath, and said to him and myself.. darling it's gotta be boy....mom loves you, let's all relax and get through this. bingo it worked!!.

| I was just trying to figure something out to do for mine when I give them cottage cheese. This would work great! Thanks for the idea.
