| YT 2000 Club Member | I keep all of my dogs coats short year round, I keep my sheltie in a lion cut, my toy poodle in the puppy cut and recently had my yorkiepoo groomed into the modify snouser cut and I love it!! He will be cut like that everytime now. It just makes life easier for me and my animals since none of them liked to be brushed.

| There's nothing wrong with it, and if you don't have time to really groom them it makes life a lot easier.

| We keep ours short. Daisy has thick cottony hair and it looks too shaggy long. The good thing is that it never matts. I have never felt like a criminal. lol

| I think my groomer believes puppy cuts are a crime - thats for sure!!! She's made it very clear that she believes in long flowing hair for all yorkies (she has three yorkies at home herself) However, I insist on a bear-face puppy cut every time. She cuts Bailey as I ask - and does a wonderful job.

| As I always say , I prefer to see a yorkie in a puppy cut than one with long matted coat . |

| I am planning on keeping Chloe in a not to short puppy cut ( I think that little teddy bear face look is so cute ) I will keep her hair longer on top for bows . I think the longer coats are pretty , but realistically I don't think I could maintain it the way it should be. My other dog is in a puppy type cut also.

| I like to keep Pao in a puppy cut especially during the summer (not all shaved down though). During the winter, I let his hair grow a little (not long all the way though) just to let him feel a little warmer although I am quite diligent in dressing him up lol. His hair is easy to take care of and doesn't mat but I think he prefers shorter hair.

| I keep Shelby Rae in a puppy cut because if I don't her clothes tend to cause her hair to get knotted up...I think she has that cotton coat i've been reading about on here..and the clothes are so cute on them! I think it's a preference thing..no wrong or right way.. |

| I think it's a crime LOL Seriously..it's your dog and go with whatever look makes you happy. Plus it's better for a dog to have short hair than matted up long hair..and a lot of people are not willing to keep up with the grooming it takes to maintain a full coat. However, I would personally never keep my yorkies in a puppycut..I very much prefer long hair on a yorkie.

| Twinkle is going for her first visit to the groomers today! I LOVE the look of the long flowing silk coat, but Twinkle is cottony and even though it's growing nicely and I brush her every day she still gets matts - especially on the inside of her back legs, so I've decided on a puppy cut. xxx xxx
