![]() Would a little sooty color surrounding the nose be a definite disqualification in the show ring? Thanks for an answer ... I love to read all of this groups posts.

![]() How old is your Yorkie? Do you have pictures you can post? It is hard to say without seeing pictures but it does not sound like it would be desirable in an adult dog but it is hard to say if a judge would disqualify it.

![]() Hi, thanks for responding to my post. I don't know how to do pics but my daughter is coming in from oot, she can do for me so... will post a pic later. She is two years old. She comes from HUngarian stock and has the (to me) prettiest little face and eyes. Her pedigree is chock full of champions but she and her sister were "culled" apparently for size as they do not show such small dogs overseas. Sheis not quite three lbs. I ADORE her. My husband and I have fallen inlove with this breed and when he retires, I want to get more Yorkies. I am concerned about the future of the breed as there are so many backyard breeders diluting the genes till some barely look like yorkies at all. Of course, there is soooo much variation in this breed that you don't see in breeds such as Labs! I personally like the european lines, especially Lake Buena Vista, for their short snouts and almost apple headed skulls. Do you all notice they seem to be breeding for these features and is that something that all breeders are looking for. TyAva Kennels in GA is one breeder that seems to have the look I like, her dogs are winning alot too. My pup would not qualify for showing I don't think, based both on size and the fact she has a full tail. And I think the snooty hairs are an incorrect color. But I would like your opinion. I loooove the way she prances about tho, I KNOW she has the movement that breeders strive for as she looks just like Westminister in that respect. Didn;t meanto be so verbose. Just excited about Yorkies. ![]()
