| ![]() Thank you for your input, Donna, it is appreciated. How do you handle socialization? Do you take your puppies for car rides or anywhere to get them used to a different environment before you just take them to a show? |

| ![]() Before I take them anywhere they have to have had their shots and then that's really the only car rides they have until I'm ready to start socializing them. When they are about 2 1/2 months they run with the others in the house, go out in my backyard, and play in the living room. Actually, I don't take them out in public until they show. I do, however, have company over and when I do they get to play with others. I haven't had any so far that have shyed away from the show ring with the exception of the first time jitters. Harvey succeeded, Krissy loved it, too bad she ended up too small and Molly acts like she's been in the ring forever so I'll keep doing what I've been doing LOL...I've actually never had a puppy that was afraid of anyone but Molly is alittle standoffish from others at the show but in the ring it's different she struts her stuff...she's gonna be reserved or continue to be a mommy's girl LOL |
