| GREAT ADVICE DonnaDee There are so many on Petfinder.com and not just older dogs either. I just got my Lilly 13 weeks old and weighing 2 lbs. full yorkie - off petfinder.com. Someone bought her and turned her into rescue a week later. AND the best part is that when you rescue the adoption fee usually between $250 and $400 covers all the vetting including shots and spay/neuter. Elaine |

| Check out our for sale section. You may be able to find a pup there from a good breeder.

| Looking to adopt buy or rescue or foster Petfinder and Petharbor are great places to look. As to the poster who referred to older pups, let me assure you that the older ones are very rewarding to have as pets. Please remember that the young ones do get old one day. Some people do want to adopt the older ones...although, it is not for everyone. And, yes, there are wonderful puppies dumped daily as well. Unfortunately so many getted dumped when they lose their youth. There are just way too many getting dumped period...regardless of age. If not for rescues and other people who adopt and dedicate themselves to loving them, these senior yorkies would be euthanized in shelters after having given unconditional love to their owners during all of their youthful years. In a foster home..or in an adoptive home, they are allowed to spend the rest of their lives being loved the way they loved and die loved and with dignity..not in a cold lonely place. | I agree completely! You are so right. There are also wonderful benefits to adopting an older dog. Usually, you don't have the potty-training to go through, they are calmer, you know if anything is wrong healthwise (hopefully), they've passed the stage where they chew everything in site. Please don't miss out on a adopting a wonderful little pet, simply because it's not a puppy. You'll be depriving yourself of a wonderful experience. Trish Yorkie Rescue Colorado Quote:

| Yes, they probably need you in Price. Do you have a website? Were you there during the mining disaster or did you move there after?

| If you are still lookin for a baby, pm me. I am in SLC. I may be looking for a good home for a 2 and a half year old boy named Riley. My brother is surrendering him to me because he can not give him the love and attention he deserves. I am only looking for a "possible" home for him close to Salt Lake. I would love to keep him but I don't know if it would work out. My baby Cecilia goes to work with me everyday and I don't think bringing both of them is an option. Camille

| Congratulations on all the costumes you must have sold!! Sorry about your friend's BIL. That was such a horrible thing. I'll bet you have a hard time knowing your BF has to go in every day. I knew a couple of guys from Price and Wellington when I was in Provo. Too, bad I didn't know about you looking for a pup. I was just up that way a couple of weeks ago for my son's wedding in American Fork and would have loved to have brought one out. There are pictures of the one I have left here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=100866 Quote:
