| Sarah Fox Sarah Fox deals dogs under many names. Foxrunn All Breed Rescue, coastalk9rescue@aol.com, Le Fox Puppies at 951-734-8184, Paw Prints By the Sea, Brussels N Friends Rescue, foxxxpaws@aol.com The Non Profit status may show PENDING. This is a big farce. It is only pending if you actually file the required documents. There is no legit rescue! 1-800 Save a Pet has removed her from their site Twice as Paw Prints By the Sea and Brussels N Friends Rescue. Sarah's whole scam is to purchase dogs from puppy mill auctions in the Midwest. She brings them back here to sell as "home raised, pre-spoiled puppies". She usually provides some excuse or fabricated story about the dogs origin. Once she has your money you'll be lucky to hear from her again. This kind of fraud really gives rescue a bad name. Sarah's greed and lack of compassion keeps these horrible puppy mills in business. Don't know what a puppy is? Once you see these videos you'll never forget. The suffering and horrendous conditions these poor dogs are forced to live in will break your heart. Think you'll end up with a healthy dog from Sarah? Think again. http://video.hsus.org/index.jsp?auto_band=x&rf=sv&fr_story=b5689700006fd b4b2571711326fbdb911e270306 http://stoppuppymills.org/ Watch the movie. http://www.prisonersofgreed.org/ Here are some of the ads she's currently running on Puppyfinder.com, Recycler.com and the LA Times. Le Fox Puppies We do have some Show Quality pups available! Our prices range from $1,800-$3,000. *NO IMPORTS* Included in price is: AKC Papers, a two year health guarantee, free vet check-up, crate, bed, toys, collar w/ID tag, one bag of food, wee-wee pads, a tube of Nutri-Cal, free vet exam, and a free grooming certificate. All puppies will be current on vaccines, microchipped, and wormed. We will consider payment plans. Providing home raised, pre-spoiled puppies to loving families. The Holiday's are right around the corner, so we will consider payment plans for certain circumstances. What good is 2 year health guarantee if she won't return calls or emails. She provides a lot of promises and not much more. I know of others she has also scammed. Unless you file a complaint she continues to pull this on the next consumer. If the dog is too sick for a quick sell then and only then does she surrender it to a REAL rescue. Our rescue has taken in two of these dogs and while in her care they never saw a vet. I have her home address if you need it. The home phone is disconnected but her cell # is 909-519-6323. |

| I just wanted to thank the experienced members of YT for exposing the scammers that come online and helping to educate those of us unfamiliar with how awful puppy mills are. I watched all three of these videos and the last one (referring to Hope, the little white dog) reminded me so much of Annie. I plan to dedicate the rest of my life to making a small difference (as much as I can) so Annie's life and death were not in vain. |

| *SCAM ALERT* Puppy-mill brokers posing as "rescue" Hello.....I am creating a new thread for this topic, as I believe it is vitally important and needs to have it's own "headline". I believe to be at the "tip of the iceberg" of a disgustingly fraudulent, deceptive ring of scammers who portray themselves as a "rescue" organization. Some of the known breeds they "rescue" are Yorkshire Terriers (Yorkies), French Bulldogs (Frenchies), Chihuahas, Pugs, Boston Terriers, and even Retrievers and Great Danes! These people go to puppy mill auctions and bring back masses of ill-bred, in-bred, often sick puppies, with health and medical conditions that will bear life-long consequences (i.e. luxating patellas) and require costly veterinary procedures. Of course, not only one person can carry on this volume and degree of deception. I am gathering additional names, and hope by putting the word out I will learn of more scumbags. However, the woman I am most familiar with goes by the names Sarah Vail, Sarah Fox, Sarah Vail-Fox. She lives at [address removed by admin] Corona, CA 92880 (Riverside County, Southern CA, but her hooks reach throughout southern CA and likely beyond). It is uncertain if she owns or rents this home; the first installment property taxes of nearly $4,800.00 (due Dec 10th) are delinquent. She has operated under numerous kennel and FRAUDULENT "rescue" organization names. The ones that have been discovered so far are: foxxxpaws, all breed rescue, coastalk9rescue, paw prints by the sea, Le Fox Puppies, brusselsnfriends, retrieversnfriends. She posts here as "RMARC"; she may use other names also. When claiming to be a "rescue" organization, she states the bogus group's 501c3 tax-exempt status is "pending". You won't make your check payable to the rescue organization, as is THE ONLY acceptable, legitimate means of payment. Linda Vail in Riverside county is getting rich by personally receiving these "rescue adoption" funds. For those unfamiliar with how an organization "becomes" a charity, this is how it works: the group must FIRST apply for a FIN (which is basically the same "identifier" as an individual's Social Security Number). The IRS issues this number, and it does not change. When a group applies for this FIN, they also have to indicate the "type" of organization they are; if they intend to operate as a charitable/non-profit organization, they indicate this. HOWEVER, they must actually APPLY to be recognized as such by the IRS. They must file a form, as well as provide copies of their organizing documents and financial statements. When the IRS receives all of this, they issue a Letter of Acknowledegement to the organization, which indicates the "pending" status of their application. IF all of the organization's documentation is approved, the IRS will then issue a Determination Letter/Ruling that recognizes the group has been organized and operates in accordance with IRS guidelines consistent with a non-profit charity that is exempt from paying federal income taxes. Think about that........how easily do you believe the Federal Government is going to "give up" on tax income?? The IRS does not award tax-exempt status without sufficient proof that an organization truly does operate in a transparent, non-profit manner. In CA, an organization must go thru a similar process with the Secretary of State and the Attorney General's Office. A LEGITIMATE charitable organization will happily and immediately supply proof of it's exempt status to anyone who asks. I have a tremendous respect for legitimate animal rescue groups. They work tirelessly and endlessly, very often at a great financial cost to themselves which is never "reimbursed". Their dedication is real and genuine. What Sarah and others in these "scam rescue rings" does is despicable and self-serving, tainting the hard work of legitimate rescue efforts. If you paid money to a legitimate rescue organization, that check would be made payable TO THE ORGANIZATION, not an individual!! Think about that, also....these people are earning an income and NOT paying taxes on it!! This is tax fraud, a punishable federal crime. It will take more than one person's complaint for the IRS to seriously investigate this ring of scumbag scammers. If you believe you have been scammed by "Sarah" operating fraudulently as a "rescue" organization, then I URGE YOU TO CONTACT ME DIRECTLY off-list at: stoprescuecharityscam@yahoo.com I will ask you some specific questions about your experience, and I will share much more information about recourses that might be available to us. I prefer not to share this info in an open format, as I know Sarah skulks on these boards. When you contact me, please include links to previous posts you have made on this Board about your experience with Sarah and/or her "rescue", so that I have a reasonable expectation that what you are telling me is truthful. Following is a sampling of information I have gathered thus far: A now-disconnected (home??) phone # for Sarah was: 951-734-8184 (Sarah used this # for all of her foxxxpaws@aol.com dog sale advertisements in the LA Times and The Recycler) Another cell # used in a recycler.com ad for foxxxpaws: 951-280-1241 Sarah’s employer, “Pete”, (Golden State K9 Training/Kennels 12235 El Sobrante Rd. Riverside, CA 92503 951-237-9739) allows Sarah to kennel many of her puppy mill purchases before they are re-sold Another cell phone: 909-519-6323 This is the # she used to scam a number of YorkieTalk people. Gina Portillo (another contact name in recycler ad for foxxxpaws) 951-285-5458 Were you told your puppy was a "rescue"?? Were you told it was "saved" from a puppy mill, or relinquished by a "back-yard breeder", with it's Mom and littermates?? What were you told was "included" in the "rescue adoption fee"?? What were you told were the results of the puppy's initial vet exam?? What were you told when you asked for the puppy's medical history to-date?? Were you told the pup had been micro-chipped, and did your vet in fact find a chip?? Did you pay a "refundable neuter deposit"?? What was the form of your payment?? If by check, to whom was the check made payable?? Do not believe that any recourse available will be easily attained, or will happen overnight. But if you have the determination and tenacity, and wish to put in the effort that will be required to right a practice that is wrong on so many levels, then please contact me. stoprescuecharityscam@yahoo.com Last edited by admin; 12-23-2007 at 12:19 PM. |

Maybe this is what it takes to get us off our duff and willing to do something to stop the cruelty. I've seen on-line petitions, write your Congressman, stage a protest at pet stores. Once we are aware of the neglect to turn a blind eye to their suffering is to accept it. It is not acceptable! I'm so glad you are willing to help stop the PUPPY MILLS! | |

| Sarah Fox A Seasoned Criminal I wouldn't fall for any sob story told by this mother. A google search just uncovered the following story. Seems our little Sarah has been a crook and scamming folks out of their hard earned money since she was 14 years old. You can't tell me this mother doesn't know what a lying thief her daughter is. She's been defrauding folks for the last 20 years. http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/dalmatians/61629 This article is a long one but well worth reading. It explains just how heartless Sarah really is. Ever heard of the BAD SEED? That's Sarah to a tee! http://www.suite101.com/external_lin...atia/duke.html This is a photo of young Sarah at the tender age of 14. Tender?? Hardly. |

| Cute Yorkie Puppy I also have been scammed by Sara. I bought two dogs from her, a maltese and a yorkie at the same time in October, 2007. Both my dog and my mother's dog were in the last stages of disease - mine had epilepsy, enlarged heart, mega esophagus and my mom's dog had cushings' disease. I will say I did obtain the maltese at Petsmart in October and was supposed to pick up the Yorkie 12/4/07. I didn't pursue looking for another dog as I expected to get the yorkie, just before Thanksgiving, my dog died, and the week before Christmas, mom's dog died. The blow was so devastating to have two dogs die within a month. I frantically called Sara, and she did not return any calls, I got through to her the week before Christmas... said she'd deliver on Friday. Needless to say, she hasn't returned any calls, and leaves her phone off 3/4 of the day. The maltese got really sick and I called her for the vet papers - ha, no return call. Luckily my vet is great and my little boy is doing fine. I'm hoping she will be prosecuted, especially since all of our experiences are documented, I'm willing to take her to the District Attorney. I'm out $800 AND NO DOG. It would appear all of the money she's stolen will put her in the felony count category, so what's to lose? I can only say, she gives the word "rescue" an entirely new meaning Last edited by l0rri; 01-25-2008 at 08:29 AM. Reason: font stayed in message |

| all i can say after reading all this is WOW!! now i'm starting to wonder about a rescue here in oklahoma. i ALMOST adopted this female yorkie pup from a rescue.. but when i inquired about it .. it just seemed fishy! This rescue is a boston terrier/french bulldog rescue but they always have yorkie pups.. and they said that they buy them so they don't go to auction.. i dunno it just seemed weird to me.. they come with papers and everything.

| I don't know how these people get away with doing this? Personally, I won't buy a dog unless I can go to the house and see the pup with my own 2 eyes and I don't start looking at pups unless they are atleast 10wks old. I know that most people don't have a problem with shipping etc but I just couldn't do it. I am not a trusting enough person I guess.

| Scams Sarah and those like her continue to scam consumers because no one takes the time and effort to file a complaint in court. Scam Buster is the only one willing to actually do something about it. She has spent numerous hours compiling evidence to present in court. Some on this forum have cried to holy heaven about how Sarah took them to the cleaners. Yet when asked to add their story to strengthen the case against Sarah they couldn't be bothered. I find that disgusting. When it happens to them they cry of injustice but care nothing about stopping the same thing from happening to others.. |

| Hi everyone im new to this site. I have been searching on the net for ever now about Paw prints by the sea rescue. I adopted a yorkie in Sept. I picked him up from her house late at night...which should have been the first clue but i was too excited about my Bruiser. We payed 400 and an additional 400 for nuetering reimbursment. She changed her home phone number and now changed her cell. We found out he had mange and payed 300 worth of treatments, i reacted to it and had to be taken to the ER that was an additional 200. Its time for him to be nueterd and we just dont have the funds. At first she would return my calls but after her sight was deleted i no longer recieved any calls. She also returned my emails at first. Her name is Sarah. I went looked her cell phone number up and it came up as Sarah Giles. Bruiser is doing great. We are just soo frustrated now and dont know what to do. I can't believe this woman is getting away with this. If anyone has her address please sent it to me Thanks to all... |
