Rescue From Tx Needing New Home

my aunt wants her!!!!!! she is in Dallas. Oh...I do hope you get this message and respond. She would give her the best home ever!!!!!! she has a VERY nice house, a great yard, a wonderful life altogether. Her kids are grown, she does have one son who is in his mid teens but he is a doll!! She really would be an ideal candidate for this dog.

Please let me know if you would like her information or if I can give her yours so you guys can talk!!!!!!!!!!!

We really would keep her if we could - she is such a sweet little doll and she's coming so far. Unfortunately, we're just not in a position to right now. I really shouldn't have even brought her home, but I couldn't in my right mind leave her there. *sigh*

I'll work out, I know it. And she's very lucky that you took her home. You probably saved her life, and with you're posts yesterday on 4WT it sounds as though she's really coming out of her shell.

She has come a long way. And she's still coming
She barked and woke me up last night - first time she's TOLD me she needed to potty. She's stayed pretty close to me and is laying by my chair right now. I had to leave for a couple hours yesterday (hubby was here some of the time I was gone), but when I got back, she was bouncing up and down. She also loves hot dogs We do hot dogs about twice a day - I get one out and everyone shares it. It's the only way I can get Pix to take her meds sometimes.

I have been following this thread and I just want to say God bless you lopsi!!

I am so saddened about the life this little girl has had and so angry at puppymill people! They need to be stopped!! How can somebody think it is ok to treat an animal that way? It truly sickens me!

I hope she is adopted soon and I personally just wanted to thank you for all that you have done for her!

Well, pepe mint's aunt is supposed to call me today, but I haven't heard from her yet. I'm wondering if she's decided against taking the precious baby

Tomorrow starts a new week - she'll be left home a lot - and in a kennel. I don't have a choice - I really, really wanted her in a good home by then. And I'm in the middle of finals, there's just no getting around it. And once finals are over, I'm leaving town to visit my daughter. And when I come back, it's time for summer school....

I don't know what to do. I can't give her what she needs, and she really can't stay here much longer. I'm beginning to wonder if she'd been better off if I'd just let them put her down and denied them $100. *sigh*

i haven't been around my laptop all day and am just now reading the updates here. my aunt isn't the kind of person to not call you back. I am sure she will let you know even if she decides against it. She has a huge heart and if she can't take her, I am sure she will help you find someone that can. I have not talked to her but am planning on calling her a bit later. You could call and follow up with her too, I am sure she wouldn't mind. and she will be honest with you if she decided against it. How did she sound when you talked to her? My aunt is not a big phone person so she doesn't talk a lot and doesn't really have a lot to say when she is on the phone some people are just that way. but she is extremely sweet and a very honest person so I am sure she will not leave you hanging. I know her husband is gone a lot, maybe she just hasn't had a chance to talk to him.

did she give you her number? if so, just give her a call if you haven't heard from her in a couple of hours. Tell her that you do not mean to be pushy but you really need to find her a home due to the traveling you are about to do and finals and stuff. she will understand.

I really hope something works out for this girl...sounds like she is very precious. when I told hubby about it all, he got so angry and said that dog lovers need to come up with a system, a way to educate the public about breeders like this and a way to help people identify these types of breeders. This way, eventually, they can be weeded out. if no one supports what they are doing, they cannot stay in "business". I really wish it were realistic to do this. I would love to dedicate my entire life to the future and well being of these innocent babies. just really don't know where to start or who to talk to.

Hey - Your aunt sounds very, very sweet, and I think would be great for this sweet pup, but she also sounds very, very hesitant considering the pup's past. She'd be crazy not to. If someone had told me everything I've said about her, I'd be skeptical as to what kind of dog she'll end up being, too. Only difference is I've had her a few days and got attached
I don't want to be pushy and call her and push the pup on her, it's not HER fault that our hearts are bigger than our home. If that makes any sense.

Also - for what it's worth, I've been wanting to open an orphanage (not now, in a few years), but now that we've taken in this precious baby, hubby wants to open an animal shelter/rescue....
