hi my name is karen i have a 10 yr old yorkie named angel ^i^ iam want so badly to adopt a young one or one under 2 yrs old. i have pre anxiety i guess when angel turned 10 april 1st 07 althou he is healthy and plays loves to go for walks i think 4 yrs top for his life spand so iam trying to get a playmate for his last healthy years and it will help me also for the future prep thanx so much angel & his mom

Hi Karen....you didn't mention if you wanted a male or female yorkie...I do yorkie rescue yorkierescue.com you can apply to adopt a rescue on our website... you can also buy yorkie stuff (t-shirts etc) which benefits the abandoned yorkies. We have many other yorkies other than those pictured on the website...

Petfinder also had two yorkies in Virginia which needed to be rehomed.

I don't know what part of NC you live in...I live south of Raleigh.

hi there iam so glad i found yorkie talk well iam looking for a yorkie mine ( angel) is 10 yrs old april 1st 2007. iam very depressed as he hit the golden yrs i know he is healthy and active not like a pup but i have pre anxiety about this issue i cant loose him he has gone thru so much with me he met my parents b4 they both died in 2000 he has been with me scince a baby 97 it may be early but iam scared seems weired i know i could cry just thinking about it i read the rainbow bridge and had to take a prozac i guess you could say angel has helped my bipolar disorder 100% my husband says to me iam not so much worried when angel passes its you but angel does have seperation anxiety after all scince 97 24/7 i would think so so i think another dog would benefit both angel ^i^ and my self for angel keeps him active for me the transition down the road so if u know of a yorkie out there who needs luv to be spoiled and all the cloths i have he or she can share with angel please let me know angel with be happy one under 2 yrs old i live in durham n.c. thanx so much angel and his mom & dad robert & karen

check out petfinder.com...there is a beautiful yorkie in Thomasville, NC up for adoption. Her name is Angel too, I believe they want $500 for her.

I think it's wise that you are looking for an adult. I would not get one that is much under 2, because it will be too energetic and playful for your 10 year old, and the older dog will not like a pup chewing and pulling at him.

The yorkie rescuse that have been mentioned are an excellent idea.

hi there thanx so much 4 looking i did fill out an application i live 15 min away from pitsboro animal shelter so iam crossing my fingers its been 2 days i havent heard but iam still looking ty angel and his mom karen
