				   | I'm so enamoured with the rescue where I got Bernie, I thought I'd post a link to their site. They really take good care of the dogs and they only work with yorkies (or occasional yorkie mixes). Here's a pic of Riley, Cutie, St. Paul, and Malcolm and a link to their website Here's the link: http://saveayorkierescue.rescuegroups.org Maybe one of them could find a forever home at with someone from Yorkietalk!

				   | that place in 20 minutes from me. I was checking it out a month ago but they dont adopt to homes with kids under 10 so that leaves me out. Often Ive seen yorkies on there I would have adopted but I cant, I have 2 boys 4 and 6

				   | I'm sorry about that. I get the idea, but there are so many yorkies that ARE good with kids! I wonder if they ever make any exceptions...

				   | I tried, ALOT, to adopt a rescue before I got Tootie and again before I got Hope.. for one crazy reason or another I didnt "qualify" to adopt... it is sad that so many people want to help but are not given the chance....

				   | That's why my experience with Save A Yorkie was so great. I sent in applications to 5 rescues, all in the same evening...I'm still waiting to hear back from four! Guess I didn't impress anyone at any of them!

				   | Hi Ginger's Mom. Save A Yorkies is GREAT. Marilyn is real nice. I spoke with her a couple of years back. I was going to foster for her, but then my mom was diagnosed with Alzeimers and soon went into hospice and I just couln't do it at the time. I hope they all find good homes. Elaine. |

				   | Thank you for posting the rescues that need homes....once you get to know these wonderful little dogs you can't help but to want to adopt one.... yorkie pups are cute , but consider adoption of a rescue Roxanne in NC |

				   | I did want to rescue a Yorkie a while back and it was such a hassle! It felt like I was being treated like a criminal. They were rude to me and would not work with me in any way, shape or form. I don't have small kids, I have a fenced area for them - but I never let them out alone anyways... etc... I finally gave up. I know they want to be careful but being careful is one thing and what they were doing was a bit overboard. Right now I could be loving on one or two rescues and giving them a great home and lots of love (and toys and treats ), but I guess it wasn't to be.I was just really disappointed and frustrated with the whole experience. omega |

				   | Thatz a shame .... you would think they'd see a "perfect" match .... wonder what they are looking for ... you obviously are a good Yorkie mommie!

OH ME TOO! I think its sooo sad that I cannot rescue a dog! I can go out and buy 10 of them and noone checks but I cannot rescue one! Its sad bc if I did buy 10 they could end up in a rescue! (not that I would ever do that) Actually I would LOVE to foster! I would love to teach a scared, sad dog what its like to be loved! It would be so rewarding! | |
