I agree also it kinda makes me feel left out im only 19 and my boyfriend is 21 and we take excellent care of our yorkie we dont have any kids we live in a condo he is a local sheriffs deputy and i sell homeowners insurance( i can defiantely afford another yorkie and the cost they come with) i would love to adopt one to give them a good home the one i have now her old parents made her stay outside all day i live in south florida and its gets between 95 and 100 in the summer its funny my mom calls her rags to riches shes spoiled and gets whaterver she wants! I wouldnt have it any other way! But way to go for your parents!!

| I know....I do agree with everyone, I don't have kids, but probably will someday and I will teach both Roxy and TJ and my child to get along and the proper way to handle each other. Unfortunatley, I can't make up the rules and we don't excatly know the extent to conditions as which these dogs were rescued from. She said it was horrible. All the yorkies had to be shaved down, b/c their hair was sooooooooooooooo matted, etc. The Yorkies are very small and fragile, so I honestly think that they must feel that is took soooooooo much to be able to SAVE these little guys, that they just want to make sure they SAFE in their new forever homes...Only a parent can judge and see how their children behave with small animals, unfortunatly the rescue people can not, they probably just are thinking, "something bad COULD happen"...heck, I probably would have that running through my mind too. I think they just want to be Safe then Sorry. But, I don't think it should stop you from applying, b/c you never know, they could really like your application. When I was looking for my parents, my Mom lives in AZ and my stepdad goes back and forth from NJ. They used to live in NJ (for 50 yrs) and they still have a business that my stepdad needs to be there too. So anyway, a lot of the Yorkies they saw at NJ rescues - said, NJ RESIDENT ONLY. Well, I told my Mom, apply anyaway, tell them the true story and see what happens??? B/c you never know, they might just say, I like this family and even though they aren't a NJ resident anymore, they are a good fit. Best of luck everyone! |

| Hi. I spoke with Jaxie myself about adopting one of the Yorkies. I was approved, but had some reservations about not seeing her first. Has anyone received one of the 39 Yorkies yet? Which Yorkie are you waiting for? I was interested in Jody. Has anyone been to beebehumane society to see any of the Yorkies? Any info. would be GREAT. Thanks. Elaine |

| Ask Jaxie if it would be possible to fly (or drive) to AR and pick out the Yorkie you like and then fly (or drive) back with the Yorkie (instead of the puppy bus back to NJ) |

| I wish I could adopt one But I think I'd have to find a new home myself if I brought another one home.
