| I sent in my application for one of these dogs...I offered to drive to where ever to take one of these poor yorkies...been over a week and no reply, so I will take that as a no, LOL. Do you usually get a decline letter sent back to you?? Never have sent in an application before.

| I also applied, I don't have small kids. They did write back to me and asked how big was Dezi and I replied and did not hear back from them. Maybe that's a no for me too. |

| I got approved! I was so excited, but most of the babies are tiny's . I am not sure I want to get a tiny. I am talking about 2 1/2 pounds. Once you get approved, she sends you a link and you see pictures of the babies, then you call her up and she reads the medical profile of the baby. I picked a couple, but after finding out how much they weigh, I got a little concerns. They are going to stay tiny. My Dezi is 6 lbs and I am so afraid she would hurt one of those babies. I am still thinking about it. I did inquire about one that is 1 year old and they are going to get back to me with his medical profile. Please note that these poor babies were in horrible conditions. They all had to be shaved, they all had fleas and ring worm, some of them are sick for example ulcers in the eyes due to matting and so forth and they are all tiny, with the exception of the older ones. I can't believe someone would do something like this to these poor babies. Another puppymill story. I will keep you guys posted. |

| Sure I can. I am so sad . I am not going to adopt one. They are really to small for me to care for. I work all day and I don't think it would be fair to such a small tiny baby. Dezi is 6 lbs and she goes to day camp 2 days a week. I don't even think I can take a 2 lb baby to day care. They might hurt him. I will wait until I find a baby that is at least 4lbs or more. They do have girls, but I was approved for a boy. I guess they don't think it will work out with my dog if I get another girl. | Hmm, are you sure that they are tinys? I spoke to Jaxie directly after I was approved and the size I was given on most were about four pounds right now, BUT if you look at the pictures w/ the exception of the males most look like they will be around six - seven pounds. I say this as I have three rescued Yorkies and they are built the same as the Yorks pictured. My belief truly is that they are not as tiny as you are thinking. Jaxie by her own admission stated that she's very bad with guessing weight. Look at the faces of the females, especially the girl they are claiming to be 12 weeks. My guess is that the 12 week old is either older or is going to be on the larger size. Hard to really tell by pictures but I'm pretty certain that they other then the males are not as small as what's being described. Keep in mind that breeders usually breed a bigger female to a small male. Just my 02. I do hope they all find good homes. They've been through so much and deserve only the best. I decided at this time against adopting through Beebe, since I'm not 100 percent comfortable with a puppy bus delivering a pup that I haven't met. This was one of the things that concerned me and the other one is the fact that they were not yet spayed, being spayed soon yet they were going to be arriving on the East Coast (NJ) scheduled for the 27th of October. That and the fact that they have medical issues not quite treated yet and they are letting them travel so quick. This bothers me a bit. Again just my 02. Elaine |

| Hmm, when I spoke to the women yesterday (can't remember her name) she told me to look at the pictures and pick a couple and she will read their medical profile. I guess the ones I picked were small. I requested information on Roy and she said he was tiny 2lbs and had an ulcer on his left eye (along with fleas and ringworms), then I inquired about Dennis, she said dennis has a hernia which needs to be repaired and he was 2 1/2 pounds. Then I asked about Chris and she said he was tiny. I too was concerned about these babies traveling on a bus for such a long trip after all they have been through. She also said I was approved for a male. Is it because I have a female and she felt that a male would work better? Not sure. I also agree with you about not meeting the babies before hand. I would love to meet the baby and take Dezi to meet him/her to see if they connect? Thanks for your advice. Last edited by Madvelazquez; 10-23-2006 at 05:20 PM. |
