| Would love to adopt a rescue After Jazzy passed a few weeks ago, I can't fill this empty hole in my heart. I don't want to replace her. I would just like to expand my family. There is so many breeders out there. I would like to give a yorkie a good home and not buy a puppy. But being in Winnipeg, Manitoba, there is just no place to find a new friend. I will be at my home in Lake Placid, Florida for the winter in a few months though. Any good starting places? Love to find a little one from young to 5 years old. | Please be advised that we currently do not have any dogs available for adoption. We are taking a short break from Rescue but should be back up and running soon. Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. Ugh! |

| A lot of the rescue pages are not working. I've been searching on Petfinder and Adoptapet. I wish I was in Florida already. There was a cute little guy named Vincent, but he was adopted. I'm glad he was though! |

| You can get a list of rescues in the Fl. area now, when you go to Fl. you'll have something to start with. I am sure you have a vet in Fl. you can call and ask them if they know of any rescue teams or shelters. My vet has a rescue team, that's how I got my kido. You can also call vets in and around your Fl. area. Are you limiting yourself to just Fl. or are you willing to travel. You can also check the states closet to you, call some vets in the states you would travel to, see if they know of any rescue teams or shelters.

| I live in Canada so there isn’t much around here. Our humane society has only three dogs but they’re big dogs and they’ll be adopted. That’s good since we have a population of 700,000. I do have a rescue here looking, but I’m sure I’ll find a little one once I get to Florida. |

| Try United Yorkie rescue, they have rescues located all over. I’m glad we stuck to rescuing even though it took a long time to find one, he was worth the wait!

| I have been checking. I'm glad you found your little one. I have a family that has to give up their 1 year old yorkie male. I might take a drive to go see him. 8 hours away! |
